1942 Pacific Air War had a very close concept of dynamic campaign, in my opinion the closest with EF2000. Microprose, of course, 1994.

@LorikEolmin Yes, I played this one too. I remember that to fly the long distances between my carriers and the target zone one could go accelerate mode, it woudl disengage when I was close to the enemy. It was a lot of fun to control my task force.
But almost no logistics/supplies if I remember correctly?! -

But almost no logistics/supplies if I remember correctly?!No, closest. Not the F4.0 dynamic campaign. There was no ground troops either. But there was a war you played in 2D and you could jump in any plane any time.

I will link in my flight sim evolution article series.

Those videos are great! Please keep more coming.
But should we tell our fellow pilots, that the initial letters of the title and the font color and style in the description maybe chosen by intend? But this will generate views on youtube for sure, you are a real Falcon influencer
So from my understanding, the other sim is a “Deaggregated Combat Simulator”, some would say it has a “Disintegrated Campaign System”.

@Atze-0 haha I know you will not believe me, but I did not think a lot about all that style stuff, etc. Later, I noticed how similar they are. Well, that is it, I like how it looks like.

@tiag do you know how artillery units works? (and other indirect fire ground units such as MRLS).
They attack the enemy ground units by “firing at then” OR they give a “bonus” on strenght (fire power) to the ALLIED ground units?
Another question is… The supply chain (from the refinaries and factories) are distribuited by supply trucks? I mean… if i destroy the supply trucks the flow of the enemy supplies are going to be disrupted?
Thanks! Great job on those videos!
Greetings from Brazil!

@tiag Thanks for the new video, man! Love it!

@VDK Artillery units are firing on enemy units in range.
cheers

@Magic49th To me is not clear. To have really working combat units all should be in brigades?
Long, long time ago I used this approach and only SAMs were independent battalions. But in the past many, many GUs (mech inf, arty, armored units) were totally independent battalions in the campaigns.

i do not agree about your claim of “A Full Dynamic Campaign is only possible by simulating with low fidelity”,
As far as i know, its not a real barrier, but the way of implementation and of course, your optimization of the Simulator itself.
You did described well that not all the equations can be implemented as they are (we are not NASA), but using advanced methods allows to fake most of the realistic cases in a way which no one could notice it. Doing so, involving tons of knowledge, allows making everything right, even without real calculations of Maxwell equations or radar cross sections.Besides that, im hoping you are enjoying Falcon BMS

Thanks for the answer @Magic49th!
And what about this one? Do you have any clue ?
