DCS doesn’t seem to have the same problem…
It has some other problems

I’m not sure but AIM-9 “TFR” bug could eventualy get fixed already, but you can still shoot down AAM with other AAM.
But anyways, this thread is not about DCS … -
@Xeno
Even SAM’s. There was video when dude shooting down S-300’s with Archers., kinda point blank via IRST, but hey … all is fine? -
@white_fang I dare anyone to prove that doesn’t work irl…!
-
definitely a feature

@Lukas

I think you got 1:1 chance there, to prove it

Let’s not turn this into a BMS vs DCS pissing contest.
I think we all know which sim provides a more true to life BVR environment but that doesn’t mean either sim are perfect or free from bugs.

@Dee-Jay OMG, if I woulda got killed by that I’d uninstall and sell my PC!!!

@Mav-jp
Data link should prevent this. The missile’s inherent trajectory shaping and DL will put it in a close to “optimal” position to see the target when the seeker goes active and it should continue to use DL as an input until pitbull.You’re correct about outrunning the missile in a full drag manuever, however, my beef with BMS AMRAAM is the overall pessimistic ranges for Rmax and Rne. They are short, it seems.

Thanks for your inputs, be advised that BMS team will not provide further comments on those topics.
