Do we need an ukranian-krimea front theater???
-
the title says it all.
Do we need an ukranian-krimea front theater???
as f-16s get closer and closer to action in ukrane and their crews
are learning the aircraft in us and other countries
maybe an ukrane theater of war would be something special
as Putin has send the best of the russian airforce there…
what do you think?
is anyone capable of making the theater?

John, “Eridanos”Not again. This subject has been beaten to death. Most think its too raw a subject for that right now.

With the current situation in Ukraine where people are dying, I don’t think this is the right time to make such a theater. Maybe when the conflict is over and things are getting back to normal. If anyone was to begin, I hope they will keep it to them selfs until peace is restored.
Just my 2 cents

Absolutely not…

No thanks.

John, “Eridanos”No. It could not be modeled well* + politics. It is better to focus on the past.
- BUK-M3, S-300V/VM, S-300PM2, S-400 and many other things simply can’t be modeled + DRONES.
-
I agree. This is not the time for that theatre, for all kinds of reasons.
-
No thanks from me as well

@alu332 I would be happy for. I dont understand those answers… We have a Vietnam and many of Vietnam peoples hardship till todays days becose of America. Did someone apologise for Vietnam theatre? No. How many peoples are dying in Syria right now? AND BOOM, WE HAVE SYRIA and we are playing it actively… Is there a peace in Iraq or Iran? NO! DO WE PLAY IT? YES! So wtf is this oneside wannabe opinion? You guys have no idea what you are talking about or you are all hypocryts.
My, as a slavic guy, very close to conflict ( and active helper for UA refugees) i can say - this is the f****g last think we/they think about. And UA peoples-same as czechs- we are masters of black, dark, morbid humour, so believe or not, they dont fuc**ng care. They need support, they need guns, they need ammo…they dont need someone crying about “humanrightsandpoornessbullshit”
It is like, oh, in this conflict were dying innocents…lets wait a while to not to look like bunch of assholes bombing Syria, Iraq, Korea…

I agree with your words. I myself flew the A-10 CUBA simulator since 1996 for decades, bombing virtually all of Cuba, my own people and it is just that a domestic grade simulator, when one is free of conscience and is at peace with oneself these things DO NOT affect. BUT. dog, I think now is not the time. Maybe later.

People can’t valuably develop a theater now because 4.38 coming with new standards.
More modern conflicts are not very well modeled, with a degrading quality as we’re closer to today, because the campaign engine wasn’t designed for what we have today, to mention only that.
Flat lands are, from my point of view, not the most interesting places to base a theater on, next to sea dominated areas. Once again, campaign engine not adapted to naval warfare.
In summary, I’d see a modern Ukraine theater as interesting as an arcade F35 modeled in BMS for space battles in the void. -

@alu332
I would say yes, since we also have Israel, Somalia, Lybia and so on.
But I agree that a beginning before the new terrain engine wouldn’t be so wisely.
And of course, like the J-20 in Korea we would need such things like SA-21 (our SA-10 S-300 has more the abilities of a SA-20 S-300, S-400 is not so far from there), Bayraktar drones (Predator mod), russian cruise missiles and maybe Su-57 (even if Russia doesn’t use them, they are there).
This would not exactly show the actual conflict, more a version within the campaign engine.
I wouldn’t go to extremes with hardwarestore drones or minefields here, just simulate it with the possibilities we have.I would be interested if it could be managed in the TRI files not to be allowed to fly into russian airspace or prevent UA ground forces to go over the border. Belarus would have to remain neutral with russian airbases in it and russian ground forces on its soil. Hmm…
Or we fake this a little, there are possiblilities.
Maybe its a good theater for Other Fighters Mafia… -
subject closed for now…
This is an ongoing conflict… Out of respect for people who are currently losing their lives there. I will not accept further comments.
