Is it wrong for me to start welling up?
Thats - in game cockpit right? not just a pretty picture… i mean - that will actually be in the Sim?
nah!!!
Nice try!!
(really?)

Congrats on walking again m8. take care.
-
Thanks!!
Quite happy too! Sorry for the low res of the video though!
The new HUD assembly looks awesome, I’m loving the dynamic shadows and bloom effect too… getting there…
Next, I still need to map the canopy jettison handle, hook handle and model the gear handle.
I’ve tried a couple of times to do the joystick grip but I’m not good enough, maybe someone good at modelling could give me a hand? If you feel you could model it PM me and I can send pics and diagrams.Although I’m feeling people are loosing a bit the interest in the pit…maybe its because its taking long…who knows!
Next vid carrier ops!
Pepe
Pepe,
It does not matter how long it takes. The Tomcat Pit looks awesome. Looking forward to flying her!
Your work is much appreciated!

There are some vids of it in game already. I have to agree with you that it doesn’t look as good once inside the game but the moving instruments, rudder pedals, stick, throttle make up for it…
I also forgot to thank Dino Cattaneo, a FSX developer also working on a F-14D cockpit http://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.co.uk he has provided me with some cool reference pictures.
Thanks guys!

Hi MyKinge,
Mate all that you do for F4 sim is a bonus and we all would agree in that BMS F4 needs a cockpit pack installer for all jets.
So your contribution is much appreciated if anything we need you to ….
…… LoLWell imho I see this as an awesome pit …
Also fantastic news on picture referencing because I know Dino Cattaneo has kool add-ons for FSX.
So your cockpit would still be better than the current non functional one we must thank you for this no matter what, it will be a pleasure to fly it!
Enjoy making it!
THANK YOU!

HELP!
I´ve been trying to implement a UHF manual working radio on the F-14D pit.
Same as the TACAN panel, my plan was to use the Backup option on the AUX COMM panel to be able to introduce manually the TACAN and UHF radio frequencies without the use of the DED or ICP. With the TACAN it works great and it is working but in the radio I cant get it to work. My question is, is it in anyway possible to introduce manual frequencies on the UHF panel and have them appear on the UHF screen? I´ve done a couple of quick tests and my UHF screen always shows 000000 (although I know all the digits are implemented). Anybody could give me an insight of how this panel works? What are the key bindings associated to this panel and how could I use them on the F-14?
Below my RADIO panel with some heavy PITA work for the numbers (to apply all the F4Switches was hell :D).
I hope its clear what I try to achieve. Let me know if it isnt!

IF it is the backup uhf radio, then there is no manual tuning it in falcon.
-
LOL thats a lot of wasted hours then!
Thanks Moort…

Correct ATM … … Remember it is planned to make it work … (when? … we have no idea!)

Thats good news…As you might know Im not in real hurry…
In Spain we say a lot: “Despacio que tengo prisa!”, which means “Slowly! I´m in a hurry”

How would you manually tune it if not in backup?? Wouldn’t you just use the ICP? Is there any conditions where the UHF panel shows any information (not 000000) so I can at least test the F4switches?

Don’t knock it; beautiful, absolutely beautiful!! When can I get one? This for BMS Falcon, right?:p:bow:

This cockpit looks awesome!
What’s next? F-15s?

If there was only a slight chance that it could be implemented, backseat of a F-16D could be a nice future project…

oooh! back seats!!!
like in the old Fleet Defender?
that would be awesome indeed!! -

The only way to tune the backup radio is with the preset knob. The presets are defined in page 65 of the BMS manual. The preset number is the only one that can be changed on the backup UHF display.
Also note: Once you switch the radio out of backup, backup will not work again until you get a fresh new plane.

That’s very useful, thanks!

My hoping: If a 3D model of the F16D cockpit would exist, the change of seeing it implemented one day would be slightly increased!
