F-14D Cockpit
-
I’d say don’t start on any F-16 cockpit without checking with BMS first.
-
just in case I’m relaxed just joking… no prblm at all…
-
Wow Molni this sounds so sweet!!! I believe Mykinge has putted u at the top of his heart right now.
Oh as well go and brake his bones once more… :rofl:Sorry guys I don’t know what got in to me… probably cement…
Edit: I know what u mean Monli I’m just playing with the words for fun and to smile in this miserable Fxxx crysis… Oh when is due the next Crysis engine…
I wanted to say, just as “useless” as F-14. F-16A is the closest “relative” of F-16C. I think here about FM and many other aspects. So I cannot understand why anybody suggest that F-16A is useless but F-14 is not. Falcon is not a naval jet fighter simulator. Both are good, but I prefer F-16A because it is another Viper. For me F-16A is THE VIPER, because it represents the original conception, which was summoned in LWF program.
-
@Mykinge: A nice easy cockpit for you - F-35 JSF or the F-18E/F/G / F-15K/SE single panel lcd cockpits.
-
@Molni that is why I wrote I know what u mean…
@Mykinge since it seems the shop is open and accepting requests… () Hmmm a Predator Cockpit would be better I believe… Uses Cougar too… It will have a fixed view only and the MFD’s. I believe it’s easy, realistic, modern, Super Good for CAS missions.
-
Guys, let Mykinge finish his work in peace.
F-14 is his passion so that’s what he is working on right now.
If you want some of your favorite AC getting a pit in BMS then start learning 3d modeling and don’t bug the developers. Some motivational material:
-
And u call that motivation? U should bring the Master for motivation and completion here. Mower… he made BMS be out of vaporware…
-
I can live with a not perfect F-16A as well as this F-14 pit won’t as accurate as F-16C.
I’m with Molni. I can live like that as well…and it’s a damn nice cockpit to do.
-
what about f-4 phantom cockpit?
-

F-84?

Mig-29?
Su-27?

-

Hey guys…I’ve had a couple of rough days at the office so no real time to sit on the computer to write properly.
First I would like to say that no other pit will be developed my me at least in a year if ever so no need to get excited and propose anything. With that said thank you for all your comments and ideas. I welcome all of them but please think before posting!! F-35 pit?? Really?? What would be the point of this ? Impossible for me to do even a half credible version of the f-14…Just try to be realistic
Best advice that I read is, if you really want something, step up and do it yourself. Organise a small team of people that share the same goal and divide the work rationally. I’m ready to help step by step to anyone that wants to…
This tread has been a good balance of project updates, nice comments, interesting stuff, critiques (Molni ;-)) etc… Lets try to keep it that way…
Take care guys,
Pepe

Wise words from a great developer and a nice guy!
Just keep on your great project my friend and don’t be afraid for sometimes you feel that you have lost it. Big projects always have this symptom ;). Just look forward.

I can just repeat myseflt. Best era for F4.0 engine is '80-'90s, the era of lowres MFDs and othe western 4th gen. avioncs suite. MiG-21/23 and even MiG-29/Su-27 are not in this category. Hornet, Tomcat and older F-16C (Block 25) are suitable.

If I recall right, Ara had an expression for opinions
-
Im pretty sure it involved firing HARMS randomly into space…
-
Nope, it was more like: opinions are like arseholes, everybody has one and most of them stink

Pepe:
I found a couple of pictures from 1989/1990 that I took with my chemical film camera of an F-14 in low vis that came to my base. They are pretty grainy, but I hope they help you with your work. If nothing else, it can give you some nice eye candy when you take a break from your amazing project.

That’s a great view from the inside of the canopy! What do you reckon the white stickers/papers on it are? Never have seen them before…
Thanks!
