RELEASE: Blk40/42 HUD Mod
-
Hi,
I would like to install this mod on the balkan theater. Is it the same way as for the pilot model mod? (index numbers -> replace mode?)
???
Nobody?
As long as this wonderful cockput upgrade won’t be integrated to any DB it is pointless.
Was your request answered?
-
No, it was not. So far nobody offered help to integrate the cockpit into my DB-
-
I concur,Make it sew…Star Trek lingo…
-
You can do it if you know LE.
You need to open it’s model DB, make 5 new parents: 3120, 3121, 3122, 3123 and 3124, write all settings just like the standard parents, then add 5 new LODs, the ones within the manual installation archive, apply those lods to the parent records mentioned above and then add 4 new textures to DB (also from the archive).
After that it’s good to go.Someone knows how to create new parents with LE?
I didnt found anything about this in the LE manual. -
Is there LE Manual…?
-
Yes… search for RAM22.pdf…
-
Is there anyway to uninstall this mod?

Is there anyway to uninstall this mod?
you should find the uninstaller in main falcon bms folder
-
Is there LE Manual…?
mostly I just use the manual that metalhead included with his F22 mod.
I think that covers new parents…
-
Hi. Please, anyone can teach me how to install Block40 Hud with Lod Editor? Thanks a lot!
-
search the forums, its here somewhere. original thread i believe.
-
There is a LODEditorManual.doc inside LodEditor folder isn’t?
-
lol u r killing the guy Raptor… Demo just created a video guide how to replace weapons… same rules apply to alter ogher things also. U can find a link to this in my HotList. The HotList link is in my signature.
-
I do have this 145-pages .doc on my LE folder, i don’t remember if it was there or i dl it from somewhere in the very long past. If you want i can share it.
-
@ Arty… Off Subject and a bit of a joke
Your hotlist is excellent and I was wondering if we could just “pin” you to the forum so we could have easy access at finding it!
-
yes… thanks raptor, i know manual… but anyone know 3 or 4 steps for manual installation with Lod Editor of Block 40 cockpit please?
-
@ Coco pin me all that u like… I have thick skin that knows how to pArty and can handle many pins
@grunt at the block 40 mod thread ain’t there the instructions how to install it? Have u looked at the thread or u just downloaded the mod?

I’ve got probably a bit of a novice question. I installed the mod but I still get the normal HUD. I’ve checked the configuration and looked if I first needed to enable the mod for it to work but I couldn’t find anything. Is there someone here that can help me on my way?
Edit: Never mind running the game as administrator seems to have done the trick.

Not sure what you know so some starting points.
A quick way to check if the mod is installed correctly is by selecting a block 40/42 F16 in “Dog Fight” mode.
As well as appending new cockpit Parent and LODs the Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Art\ckptart\F-16C-40\3dckpit.dat needs to edited in notepad (or replaced) to refer to the new parents. The same applies for the F-16C-42 and the similar cockpit night textures in Falcon BMS 4.32\Data\Art\ckptartn
If you believe the new Parents in 3dckpit.dat are correct you should be able to view the new cockpit Parent/Lods in LOD Editor by entering the new parent number next to the “Normal” button before clicking it. When the new Parent record opens switch the edit mode button to _view mode_and check the new models are shown.
Edit: Never mind running the game as administrator seems to have done the trick.
Glad you got it sorted, if you still have issues - which install method/video did you use? - I’ll try to help
-
I used the installer 2.04 version.
