BMS F18 A and C upgrade - community involvement
-
yep as others have said
7-G’s, BMS’ and DCS’ C hornet and Coretex’s E Super Hornet for DCS; I can’t say I care about the FSX one, but if you do then we’ll have 5 F-18 sims in 2014/2015! wow, lol. It is as if we were back in the year 2000 again when we had Jane’s, Digital Integration’s and Graphsim’s F-18 sim.
a great time for Hornet family lovers!
If you are talking about VRS Superhornet I beg to differ. It’s one of the most realistic and challenging sims on the market. And with the addition of the TacPack it’s risen to a level that few sims can match.

is it actually that realistic? whenever I look at VRS video and compare it to Seven-G one for example, I notice something, the Seven-G cockpit vibrate like real plane while the nothing happened in VRS SH.

you can get that effect with some other addons for FSX. The point is, FSX sucks, there are no physics in it and so it doesn’t “naturally” simulate things like vibrations.
The VRS hornet on the other hand, is a very complex sim which relies on external programming and calculations that take place outside of FSX, which in turn is used pretty much as a graphics engine, still there are some limitations.
All in all, I think the FM is very very close to the real thing, I’ve been having fun performing SH demos and I can replicate all the maneuvers at the correct airspeeds. If you look at it from the outside it’s very credible.
With tacpack, a lot of systems are modeled, pretty much like in BMS, again the limit is FSX (the view distance is so limited that targeting pods are basically useless)… -
uh so how is this project going?
-
It’s going great and on track to me part of the next major release.

……yeahh…no…
not bad though, considering FSX’s horrible flight modelling.
Not knocking the sim or anything. I’ve still got thousands of hours on it. Just confident that BMS will do better. -
Hi,
Any news of this project???
-
It progresses along with 4.33
-
Any news item referring to the Hornet’s AVIONCS?
-
Will be released this 3D cockpit?
-
Ok, Thank you for the news Bonedust!!!
-
So 4.33 will never be released to the public?
-
Who told you that?
Deejay keeps saying it will be released when its ready - like 4.32 was.
-
Set me the light, Bonedust!
-
As me Mum would say, “good things come to those who wait”.
-
eheh… my mum says always I am never happy and she is right…
and I was curious about the saitek rhino with this new jewel made by Bone…
Cheers

The Hornet is a sexy beast… those lines are very much akin to aeroporn.
…Is it just me, or does someone else find legacy Hornets to be better looking machines than the new Super Hornets?
-
I’ll agree! Just hit me on the above RAAF bird, CATM-120’s but war-shots for the 'Winders.
