Update about the new pylon. I have finished the modeling and mapping in 3dMax. It’s the standard USAF model and very detailed (a bit poly heavy) with all cables and MAU-12. LOD2 will kick in at short distance. I will post some screen shots when it’s done.

Regarding a tumbling MK 77 tank, would it be possible to implement some oscillation effect for Mk. 82/84, CBU’s, and Paveway II LGB’s?

The issue is that a tumbling tank will have two models in one. One you see under the wings and a spinning model after release. Such things will double the poly count. The CBU’s (all spinning) I have made (52/58/87/103) all are in the 4000 poly range because of this. Six of the CBU’s on the wings and you will 24000 poly’s on your wing. That and with my new 55000 poly F-16D model, 5000 poly poly 3/7 pylon (x2), 557 poly AIM-120(x2) ,1404 poly AIM-9X2 (x2), fuel tank pylons (x2), fuel tanks itself (x2), TER, centerline pylon and 980 poly ALQ-131 you will end up with 100.000+ poly’s. In a flight of 4 in very close formation with such loads… 400k+ poly’s. Ouch… So it depends if the non-tumbling model looks good with 2000 poly, if not the tumbling is sacrificed.

Oscillation while falling? First thing I thought of was LCOs, which are already modelled, but only visible from inside the cockpit with the LVNs. For some reason external LCO animation doesn’t work on the LVNs or on the F-16Is in the ITO.

The LVN2’s do have internal and external oscillation. DOF’s are added to slots 2/8, 3/7 4/6 and they work. I have checked but they work only on very occasions.

I haven’t yet tried flying the LVN2s, but I remember the firs LVNs did not show external oscillations with HARMs.

I have fixed some issues with the LVN2 models and skins. You can get it via my BMS webpage http://www.launchvipers.com/bms.html
Fixed are:
- Tail strobe light model (all wing models).
- Better chute textures for the RNLAF, RNoAF and HAF models.
- Tail model fix for all the HAF 52+ and 52+CFT models (see through issue) (LOD1).
- Nasty rudder texmap issue of the RDAF/PortAF models (LOD1 and wing models).
- I fixed the Sniper TP, the head was not moving (LOD1).
TuAF block 50 Peace Onyx IV (with and without CFT) can be downloaded as well.
TuAF and HAF HAS install instructions / Parent data jpg’s have been corrected.

I have a question about your F-16 52+.
I opened F-16 52+ model by LODEditor and found out LOD2,3,4 buttons are inactivated.
What could be wrong with mine?I copied f16bk52+.dat into BMS 4.32\data\sim\acdata folder before running LEv6.23

Check if you did not use the wing model (jpg), I see you only have 1 lod…
