EDIT*****
Misread Molni and trolled his post. Sorry about that, thought you were pointing the IRL and not in the sim. Apologies. He made a valid point about the B-1B in Korean campaigns. -
Molni to save the embarrassment, just stop. You are incorrect about the B-1B. There’s a reason it’s at Nellis for nearly every Red Flag blowing brakes and tires because the runways too short for a heavy bomber with a lot of gas. The B-1B is a great CAS aircraft. detrators aside, using just two of its rotary bays allows you to carry everything in variance. One full of different types of JDAM and LGBs, one with dumb or WCMD. Its got a sniper pod, and nothing can catch it on the deck without being attached to a supersonic tanker for the attempt. Talk to any pilot of a B1B and you’ll realize THEY have been in action constantly since Desert Fox. I’ll give you one thing, it doesn’t have a gun, but that’s about it. F-14’s found a way to “shoot down” the B-2 during Red Flag, but nobody touches a B-1B, you can see it visibly and the dust cloud it kicks it on the deck, but no missile will ever close the distance from the rear quarter, and it looks like a Cessna 172 from head on, on the radar screen. In many ways, the B-1B is a much more viable platform than the B-2, and prior to SALTS treaty, the B-1B could carry more than both the B-52 and the B-2.
+1, I also want to add that just because the B-1B has limited appearance in the Korean campaigns doesn’t mean it won’t see greater exposure when additional 3rd party theatres are released in the near future.

What you wrote is nothing about the topic, what was argued, the actions what have seen by B-1B…
BTW my concern was how usable in campaign. Even if you put into campaign likely it is too OP in 2D world and unusable in 3D world because of AI issues. -
Yeap guys let’s ease up… what Molni said was right. He didn’t say Hayab model is wrong or bad or he doesn’t want it…
What Molni says is spending time on models that are not going to be used well in Falcon and mostly serve as eyecandy is not that wanted by him (or others) He would prefer the remake of models that r more usable in Falcon.
On the other Hand Molni knows that those new models can operate as triggers for some guys to work on them and better implement them in Falcon example the F-18 / Harrier / SU-27…
So both sides are right both sides r wrong… Molni is more about the core and usage of a model… Also he could make his state like it would be wonderfull if someone could work on this beauty and create a profile for better use of it or AFM or weapons and a pit and maybe Weapons Officer panel etc…
When years pass and u witness the same things over and over then u get more direct and u forget to say the same things more polite and more candy wise… the bottom line is the same. So if u want those statements with flowers please Molni use them and maybe put and a pink ribbon around them…

I tried and I failed. BTW repvez and many Hungarian guys asked many times help in PM or on forum and they got 0 help… Thx. the advice…
.The question you should ask to yourself is why you failed while many other succeeded ?
-
Who cares about campaigns?
90% of Falcon pilots… rest 10% is happy to fly single missions and i bet that they are dcs flyboys too :nosep:

I was not able to create even texture map on very simple 3D model with 2 weeks of learning. It was in 2008. Because I had another useable skills that time and now have more I simply gave up learning 3D modeling because sooooooooooo many other areas can be improved.
Repvez said he got 0 answer on his PMs. So….? How should we know why we or he failed…? Hm…? I have discovered many things alone but many times I needed help. Sometimes I got help sometimes not. Repvez somehow got 0 answer just on PMs… In most of the time when somebody asked help from me I helped directly. Two weeks ago I helped to a user install pickup technical models and setting new battalion rosters… So, answering on a PM and make possible a TS meeting is so hard…?
For me about 2x2 hours will be enogh with A.S and I learned what I wanted. Maybe if anybody would have only 4-5 hours Repvez got the help what is desired for a long time.
No offense but some devs in many cases seems to me pretty arrogant…

Hi Molni,
No offense but some devs in many cases seems to me pretty arrogant…
really???
I told you you can PM me if you have questions, but not a single PM in my inbox from you (now am I arrogant because of that???).
If somebody does not get reply on PM maybe the recipient is busy ATM, so please go open a thread in the forum!Cheers

There are many guides text and on youtube .
Alone unassisted I learned how to do cockpits 3d,how UV mapping. With VERY poor knowledge of English. To practice, keep trying.Fundamentals are the hardest, later is already very easily.
Your excuses are weak.
You have to want . -
Yeap Molni u r wrong on this… I was a newb on 3d (still am) but help is out there and guys here also help…
I even created destroyed 3d models and imported them in Falcon and now r used. Learning about it was just 2 tutorials on youtube away.
Learning in general about 3d and adding experience and fast using it well it’s another thing… which comes with time and hard work.
In youtube and else u can find stuff and tutorials to make u more pro the pro’s on 3d…
-
I told you you can PM me if you have questions, but not a single PM in my inbox from you (now am I arrogant because of that???).
Because I do not have questions currently.
I said Repvez complained many times that he PMed many people what I recommended and he got zero answers. I even did not know that you have 3D modelling skills. Should I guide to you Repvez?
In youtube and else u can find stuff and tutorials to make u more pro the pro’s on 3d…
About converting 3D model into Falcon world, setting about flag, DoFs and other values? Where…? Did we miss something. Repvez has or still had a JAS-39 3D model what he wished to put or at lest test how functional can be for Falcon.
-
Nope those r done here… In case PM’s r not answered he can ask in public forum.
There r many ppl here that made many airplanes that r functional in Falcon one will… and in the last u must insist and find your way to the answer… Don’t u see me how I piss off ppl all the time? well I learn… -

There are some video tutorials here

Dave -
well WaveyDave those r the tip of the Iceburg… Good sure but just 3.
And I’m not talking about uping or linking to 3ds tutorials… but some specific for Falcon could help more…
Small example I found by my self how to export a multichannel map… which is fundamental I believe.
Maybe I’m talking nonsense cause I’m a newb at 3ds and maybe those r considered 1+1 for 3ds designers… but I believe u get the picture…
Also the light’s on - off for surfaces on buildings… or the transparent windows… could save way much time for ppl fighting to reinvent the wheel by them self’s… -
While it is clear that different persons have differing primary learning strategies (i.e. spatial, linguistic, kinesthetic learning modalities etc…) I believe that anyone who wishes to delve into Falcon modding should become “close and personal” with the sim itself.
There are plenty of informative threads in this forum as well as others discussing various ways to approach db editing, 3d editing, terrain editing, etc…, and that should give anyone a good start into learning how to modify the sim.
To me, there is no substitution to trial and error. I have sometimes tried numerous different ways to approach solving a problem before having to finally call out for help from the veterans. In all my tries, I almost always learn something new that helps me in another aspect of the sim and I always get a better understanding of the mechanics of the sim.
My philosophy is somewhat akin to the adage about “If you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. If you teach him how to fish, he will always be able to eat.” Just telling someone how to mod a file does not give them the perspicacity to understand why it is modded in that fashion and what repercussions those changes may have to other parts of the sim.
Does that mean I believe that people should founder until they give up in frustration? No, but those who persevere through frustration tend to flourish more than those who seek immediate gratification in the form of exact instructions on how to solve an issue.
I think you find that many of the developers (BMS and freelancers) on these forums are usually more than happy to point someone in the right direction, but also realize that many developers do not have the additional time to hand-hold every person through all the steps required to become proficient in whatever area of the sim they wish to mod.
My two cents, anyway.
Cheers.

…now am I arrogant because of that???
NO…!! NOT AT ALL…! You are NOT arrogant because of that.
You are arrogant for a hundred OTHER reasons which I don’t have time to list.
