Block 52+ Advanced moving digital map
-
Or as an OSB function when in HSD page perhaps?
In any case, if implemented one day, it will be as close as possible to real one.
-
The “map” is selectable via mfd button if it will be viewable under HSD or only the HSD as per older blocks.
If and when ready to implement it have the option to ping me, but anyway i am pretty sure the proper hands have what they need.

I suggest it as an add-on in the BMS config under Mods with a checkbox next to it. It’s there if you want the realism.
Hi there,
I was reading the thread again is there a mod for this to download since their were screen shots with current F-16 Nanards pit in thread here also in my post…… https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?11004-Block-52-Advanced-moving-digital-map&p=144350&viewfull=1#post144350
I also agree it would be nice as a mod add-on to add and select in the BMS Config Editor, so please if someone can do that as a mod I would love it and also many in community would use it as a mod only.
Please let me know either reply or PM if there is a mod to download and install, and if there is please give me instructions how to install it, not very good with all software mod, file editing etc etc… stuff.
I use 1920x1080 screen resolution so it should not be a problem for me and others that have that setting.
That’s if a mod exists by someone in community I would love to use it, thanks!
So keen to know???
Cheers,
:drink:

Talking for realism, this map is there only in HAF Block 52M (PX IV), Polish Block 52M, and Turkish Block 50 Advanced vipers, in generally new LM orders.

There is some somution software created in viperpits…
i wonder if the code can implemeted in BMS 4.3X , in order to have MAP in HSD for updated F-16 blocks selectable via avionics config!!!

It seems a bit dangerous to post in this thread: only on this page already three banned ex-members……
But seriously: there are more fighters with a moving map possibility, so implementation in BMS would be a very nice and realistic feature:

yeah, we ban ppl only because they post here, it’s a well known fact

Moving Map is not just for Block 52+, it does not depend on Block, it is used with some updates. Even Block 30 fighters have those maps.

Best remains the Rafale heads downs display (HLD). Is it indescribable if you have never put your ass into the cockpit with the avionics powered.
This screen is collimated to the infinity just like the HUD giving a sensation of an hologram filling your whole filed of view! This 15cm display if giving you the feeling to be in front a Cinema’s IMAX screen! This effect is not visible in pictures … must see this for real to be able to understand!
-
I can only imagine… great piece of engineering, must be awesome for SA. Rafale’s avionics are impressive.
Dassault also designed the radar screen (VTM) that way for the -5 series, collimated to the infinity, so the pilot does not loose precious time on focusing.
-
Sorry for OT.
Rafale’s HOTAS looks very interesting, especially throttle. Looks, like on Gripen, it consists of two parts - one for general flying and one for combat. Also probably shut down of engines is done by separate levers.
Any info available with its description? -

Any info available with its description? No much info on my side… but AFAIK, it is not separated throttle just two possible position of hands depending on needs and fonctions. But would like to have more info. Must ask friends.

Yeap! Its fully combatible with DLink on M and all marks from DC on moving map have different colors…(From ground crew they place into DC the Map but with a little difference boys. 800NM to 800NM are the maps for H.A.F, we have to use them only at this distance. In a deep range mission, full of load fuel +CFTs after 800NM straight ahead from any directions the cmfd reset and pre-back physical on black backround. The map have borders and limits.(limits is a small delay in high g’s manuevers that you have a delay moving of the map, without have any problem with HSD other symbols from DL or DC, gps, POI, Tacans, VOR/DMEs, SAM rings, other…symbols e.t.c. When you change scale of N.Miles and make a high G manuever on CMFD with Map, …up to 4Gs on CAT III, we saw a “small” delay on moving map with a little bit of time delay about the map only…and then fixed. (at about 0.2-4sec) thats a small delay and its no comfusing you because the small time of period before fixed again and our SA are as best as can be at eatch one pilot, at this situation. So if DL, marks, all symbols run on time e.t.c you are safety first and dont have any to loose for 0,4 sec. on map, as the pilot movements in 3axes are hard or any… Its very usefull to 340Sq. for Night Ops. and more…if we are in NOE profile from point to point (except the sensors RALT-TFR) NVGS on Helmet and other avionics to secure your safety into deep night, TFR-auto make the job , (TAD) Moving Map (as in retired A-7E Corsair II…) gives us a depress about the space, and you check every symbol with the map underground. So you have a monitor for a little bit of time and you remember some points of interest in ctitical period of flight…or ingress, or in engress to land after a hard mission ,many hrs into cockpit and a view off deep black outside…You have one think on your mind. To finish (about ΑΝΣΚ) and back safety you, your wingman or all elements of a Comao mis. Special Thanks! *Only for A/G missions its usefull. For BVR/BFM we keep it close by (DC) at the right side, back console of avionics and sensors.
