Harpoon launch problems

I’ve seen them not launch too, but I found that sometimes I had to hold pickle for ~5s to get them to go.
Pretty sure i did, but who knows for sure. Will focus on that next go

I had some issues a few days ago, similar, and i cornered it to having my harpoon OFF
I perfectly remember to have turned them ON but i wonder if a master mode change didn’t turn them back off

Didn’t investigate further thoughHarpoon will definitely, 100%, turn power off if you change from AG master mode. When you return to AG master mode, you must power them on again.

Missile Power: Missile power is selected via OSB 7. Each Harpoon missile must be powered on separately. Once powered up, the missile will stay powered on until it’s powered off, A-G mode is exited or another weapon type is selected. The missile doesn’t have to be powered on for setup operations but must be powered on before launch.

They were AGM-84As……the SLAM-ER is heavier cruise missile that always comes off the rail.
The Harpoons are just fussy. No rhyme or reason to it. -
Hi, I’ve tested Harpoons a lot during development and never faced such an issue. Next time it does happen, can you try please to use the keyboard for the pickle instead of HOTAS? I have a feeling that something is maybe broken here when the pickle should be held so long (For some missiles it may come up to 6 seconds indeed, but that is according to RL, and BTW the delay for each missile is decided kinda randomly).
Of course if the missile isn’t powered up for some reason then it wouldn’t launch no matter what.
If you have some reproduction case where I can test this, it would be great, thanx!

I think I might have some video of a couple of Harpoon runs where I had difficulty getting the release. I’ll look and if I can will clip out or time stamp the relevant sections and send links via PM …. if that might help.
I will say in my case(s), I think being too near to the target (inside DLZ minimum, but ‘close’ to target) and/or being above speed (Mach 0.90 ??) at the time of attempted launch could be causes.

Yo have to fly ‘perfectly’ still when releasing harpoons…, can bank, but no jink, similar like TOSS,… dunno , seems they launch faster … +/- <1G.
I can launch 4 under 10sec. Yes sir.

For the record, the Harpoon release conditions are as follows:
1. Power On.
2. Missile isn’t in Failed/Hung status.
3. AC pitch less than 20 degrees up or down.
4. Mach speed between 0.4 - 0.95
5. Airspeed greater than 200 knots
