BMS 4.34 full file
-
Hey folks.
Does anyone have a copy of the original unmodified bms 4.34 full keyfile.I added the extra 4.34 bits to my 4.33 keyfile, but I hear it can cause stability problems, especially in multiplayer. I plan to start fresh with the original 4.34 full.key, but don’t have it since I’ve overwitten with my modified 4.33 one!
Thanks,
obsidian
I forgot to backup the original,

Don’t know where these legends come from. By no means a key file can cause stability issues in multiplayer. This is simply not possible.
If problems occur than local on your pc. -

Seems this is even a wide spread misinformation amongst the devs

If problems occur than local on your pc.A local KEYFILE issue can provoke a local clients CTD
A client CTD is always a risk in MP anyway
I think that is what dJ had in mind

Ha ha
This is funny.Of course client issues can provoke multiplayer issues.
But this chance is simply NOT existent for key files.
Simply because if you have a crappy key file you’ll immediately notice this upon loading it. BMS CTDs.
Plain and simple at that. There is absolutely zero chance to fubar a mp game with key files.
If you want to learn more about the “inner working of key files” RTFM or ask me

I am sure I can provoke A CTD with a wrong command LOL
Btw a bad KEYFILE can provoke a CTD when clicking. On “setups” right ? Or when loading one in setup ?
Therefore if this is done while client connected , you will have a client CTD while connected

Read my PM
I stand here saying: There is literally no chance to do so.

I fly MP for more than a decade with a custom keyfile which saw OF, BMS 4.32, BMS 4.33 and BMS 4.34
Never had MP instability because of a keyfile, never had a CTD because of a keyfileAll it takes is basic understanding of what you do thanks to the Document suite.

Obviously
But I think noeone was talking about people who know what they do LOL
Have you seen how many bug reports we had about people not having the different ATC menus ?
Does this ring a bell about KEYFILE ?

Correct.
