Interactive Maps (Korea)
-
Hello,
There are what is claimed to be “interactive maps” for Falcon BMS at this site:
http://www.combatsimchecklist.net/
They have all the areas in BMS, but only Italy/Balkans, Israel, and Korea click to open a large map; the other three don’t click to open anything.
Someone please tell me how to use these interactive maps in/with BMS.
I don’t see anything “interactive” about these at all (can’t click or do anything on the map).
I can’t imagine they are for printing (too large in dimensions).
And I can’t imagine they are for in-game navigation or situational awareness (many airfields don’t have printed data (like a real-world aviation chart would) and many VORs/TACANs also don’t have relevant data printed next to the symbol).Any ideas?
Signed,

Dang flangit!
Okay, I’m going to answer PART of my own OP:
Yes, there DOES appear to be clickable things on the map - you have to exactly click on the airfield or navaid symbol. Then the info pops up.Okay, but how do I use this while BMS is running? How do y’all switch from the running BMS program onto your web browser (to see the interactive map)??? Are these interactive maps somehow supposed to be embedded into BMS?
as an aside, there are identical(?) interactive maps at ravico.com, too.

Sure: “interactive” means that is you click on an airfield, you will see a pop up window with all information about the airfield … nothing more, nothing less.

iPad, tablet PC, smartphones are good options … or “ALT+TAB” if you are running in windowed mode.
Otherwise you still have the old method which is still working perfectly : Printed paper charts

Nope.

I tried that but no matter how hard I pressed, it wouldn’t open the airfield info window!

There are more actually
You can also click the navaids to get their information
and switch from hi to low chart from the legendAs for clicking on the symbols, it sounded pretty logical to me that to have information about an airbase, you need to click that airbase, not something else
But I am glad that you found your way Flummoxed Noob -

Hello.
For Balkans theater, you can get all the Navigation stuff from here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?36410-Updated-Balkans-NavAids-amp-MAIP-for-4-34
Easy installation instructions and both files are in pdf format, so you can easily print them if you like.
