@Snake122 , I understand your statement.
Honestly, I flew quite a lot with NVG in real life and even used them on ground during some circumstances, and I am only talking about my experience. Everyone has his or her experience.
Yeah, it’s more blurry in the cockpit that if no NVG But there is no way it looks like link text that.
Simulation always emphasizes things. It’s like on DCS :
No, world is not as blueish as their render provides : it’s an overlay artifact to provide easier realistic look that a dynamic render.

@Dee-Jay if I depict it like that, it’s because it’s like that I remember it, and I can’t remember a single super brighty and blurry picture as you mention it
This is possible. But about the blurriness, it could be because your inner and outer lenses wasn’t perfectly adjusted as they should be. What type of googles do you had?

@Dee-Jay Looks pretty much like these ones :
Not sure I was even said their exact P/N.
Radium
Your pilot guided you to tune them correctly in “Hoffman banc” (banc Hoffman, je ne sais pas comment ca s’appel en anglais ;-)) ?
EDIT:
This guy explains one way of tuning them without Hoffman device. Works nice as well but not perfect for harmonizing the tubes.
BTW, for ground ops, I don’t set them the same way … I am used to focus on closer distances (but that’s not good for “gunnery”, only for “casual” night walks).

@Dee-Jay Sorry DeeJay I have no idea of what you are talking about.
Do as you want to, let’s move on, I will not reply on this thread anymore.

@hiuuz
hi hiuuz
I’ve noticed airforce also use WHITE PHOSPHOR NVGs…
The L3Harris AN/PVS-31C BNVD is a compact, lightweight, Gen III high-performance white phosphor dual-tube goggle that is currently being used by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) for greater target detection and recognition in the toughest battlefield environments.
can you also develop a white phosphor NVG mask?
thanks for your Work ️ -
@farazparsa Hi! I think the colour of the mask is laid down elsewhere. With the textures you can change the shape and grainy look. But maybe somebody with more experience can help.
-
We should have an updated one in the next update. I tried to model it like DCS and from what others who have wore NVGs see.
-
@cougar56th Very cool! Thanks!
-
@Snake122 not going to have the blurriness with close objects though
-
@hiuuz thanks for your answer hiuuz.
another question…
how about removing the dark mask around the main circular mask of the goggle? are you able to do that? because pilot can’t see out below or sides of the NVGs its all black! -
@farazparsa Yes it’s possible, give me few days (weekend is here) and I will PM you.
Besides, I think the way it is now in BMS is because pilots not pull NVG completely close to their eyes, but there is a gap, so they can look down to check out instruments. I’m not expert on topic, so I can be wrong.

BTW I always wondered if visibility of HUD symbols is affected by sunlight.
A photo is not the best to show how it looks IRL, but I can’t provide something better than:
What AC is this?

What AC is this?
Before the HUD glass is some kind of semi-transparent / colored plastics?

It is just a shield I’ve put behind the HUD to be able to photographe the symbology.
