F-14D Cockpit
-
Hello everybody!
I would like to present my own little project I´ve been working on since January!! It all started because I felt I had to give something back to the community, that for things like BMS to happen everybody ,within their abilities, should chip in! I have no idea how to use LOD editor or any other tool concerning BMS but I thought it would be quite cool to start a new cockpit also for the following reasons:
- see if I can
- improve my modelling skills
- MAYBE in a very far future learn how to implement it in in BMS!
The choice of the AC was quite straight forward…I really enjoy carrier operations at the moment and can’t wait for the f-18 to be released so I thought that it would be really cool to have the Tomcat’s cockpit! The progress is really really slow and I’m trying to stick to the real thing as much as possible!!
Maybe our office one day?
Learning how to map from 0!! (please note the 4 altimeters!)
Ugly mapping on the Martin Baker Mk14!
Side Panels…almost there…(not really!)Overview 2!
I know SO MANY things are wrong, ugly, unfinished…so please don´t go crazy with the criticism just wanted to share this with everybody because I wont be able to work on it for the next 3 months I think…RL issues
If anybody has pictures of the interior of the cockpit (D model and apart from the ones that can easily be found on google) it would be great if they could share them…
Anyway! Happy flying!
Pepe

I love your picture with the four altimeters. The detail on the CRT screens as well as the glareshiled cover is amazing. I hate to say it Pepe but your project turned out so well, there is nothing to criticize:D
-
nice!!!
-
That’s one wonderful work - keep it coming!
-
Uh, very hires stuff. :headb:
I hope it won’t be its fate as many “3D project”. So many 3D models have been shown in the latest decade, but most of them never was applied or integraded.

I’ll wear my raybans while killing those MIG’s looking like F-5’s!

Great work so far, keep it up and thank you for starting this project! The Tomcat is one of my favorite warbirds.
