Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

Pretty sure he’s referring to the dual install procedure where you 1st need to install to C:\Falcon BMS Setup, and then run the Setup there to actually install BMS under C:\Falcon BMS.
It’s a 2 clicks installation , literally
I wouldn’t call that a dance !!

Then how come so many people have a problem getting on the dance floor??
Asking for a friend!!!

you can’t do a BMS installation in 2 clicks, literally. Go on try it and show a video
And it always been confusing to someJust read the install section of the 4.33 BMS manual. There is room for confusion, and ppl were confused and messed their install
So although far from being unsolvable (BMS manual to the rescue) it is not that easy for everyone! and history proves that.the most common issue is the folder naming between the install files and the actual game folder.
Usually installation of software don’t force the users to keep the game install folder after installing,
BMS does. Hence the confusion -
This post started out so interesting, and then you had to throw away any credibility you had garnered up until now by calling CMANO a realistic simulator?
CMANO handles aircraft about the same as BMS handles submarines.
Leave credibility aside for the ppl in the know please…
On the contrary, read around, since I assume you don’t own; a legitimate copy of the “game”, for example:

FYI, an ex- (only due to his available free time now) e-HAF member, real Officer and close friend, was in charge of the “locally” (aka national) program of simulating scenarios based among others and on this “game”, although additionally improved. Not many have this machine to achieve such simulations “games”, but other nato allies have similar departments too, as it was pointed out to me…

The OP was referring to the « dance » , I think he probably never knew the real falcon dance
andBtw you just added to the confusion
BMS does not require to keep the install folder to run it
-
Done my own testing with the copy I own… Any aircraft fully loaded can accelerate from stall to max airspeed in 20 seconds.
Hence my conclusion, that you obviously are not in the know, if you think aircraft behave this way!!!

Not directly, however you do if an update comes out? Been a while mind… For example,4.33.1 to.2… You’d have to rebuild the install folder if you’d removed it to install the update.

I know but since RD is nitpicking about 2 clicks vs 4 , I do the same running != updating

Understood. In honesty, my reply was as much a question as it was a statement. As I say, it has been a long time since I last reinstalled.

Please share a video with this behavior. Version / update?

I’m not going to read 321 pages to see if this has been mentioned already, but for me the mouse-clickable area (“hot spot”?) to raise the gear is too small, and in a weird place. I get frustrated and just go for G on the keyboard sometimes, hurrying to avoid overspeeding the gear, but I’d rather click, it’s more convenient physically with my particular setup.

1.04 as I recall, if you want to make a video you can do that yourself. Not all of us have immense upload speeds lol!
Edit: and had I gotten a copy for free, perhaps Id have been more congenial regarding the advertising of the ‘sim’. Instead they charged over $100 at release for what they deemed “relentless realism”, for what was really a quite large database of weapon systems, not a fully functioning simulation of accurate weapons platforms.
It would go well alongside FSX, as a listing of popular survey sims.

For the install folder thing and the confusion which folder is which a simple rename like
For setup only Falcon bms 433
Instead of current name would greatly solve the confusion.
Another alternative name could be
FBSF
from Falcon Bms Setup Folder.
Just saying. The where to put the files confusion would be ok.
Another would be have setup.exe on both folders.
If files are on the FBSF folder just update.
If user puts the files in running the game folder find them and move them to the correct folder and proceed to setup.
If the folder doesnt exist just display a warning message with what to do, or ask him with browse to locate the needed exe files (base and updates) and proceed.
If they r all in the same folder go ahead. If i want to install u5 and only base is one folder then ask again with browse to locate u2 u3 u4.And best of all but bad for those with slow internet to have them all packed in one installer and no problems.
I understand that u might use the same setup process for the beta users and u want it unified… well one of the propositions above i believe covers the issues.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

+1
This is really a problem that troubled me during Falcon BMS as I frequently went over speed and become unable to raise the landing gear correctly due to the weird positioning of clickable area for landing gear. It would be nice if the area could be widened for easier clicking

I think I would like to see the battle damage to your aircraft if you have any in the briefing screen
I don’t if this is possible or not It would be a nice touch -
It would be really nice, if the DTC related ini files get a bit re-organized.
What I mean with that:
At the beginning of a flight, the pilot is loading the DTC into the jet’s systems. With that DTC specially programmed for THIS single mission/flight contains all the info about the flightplan, etc. Also it contains informations and settings of the SMS for each station and weapon programmed for use for THIS special mission/flight.
IIRC atm these SMS settings etc are located in the callsign.ini and not in the mission.ini. That sets the same SMS settings, MSL, CARA etc etc for each mission/flight unless I load the DTC or not.
It would be great, if all Informations and Settings contained in the real DTC would be located in the mission.ini and are preset with zero. For example, if I did not programm the ripple it is at zero, or if I did not programm any T-ILS informations, they are at zero too, or Bingo or or or. But If I programm it in mission planning for THIS special mission, its inside the DTC and thus gets loaded into the jet during rampstart.
I think that would be more realistic.
Additional its possible then, that the missionbuilder programms a mission.ini with all these settings etc. during building the TE.
Of course, there would be a problem, because the Escort would not have the same DTC as the Strike and even the wingmans could have different DTCs, when I think of lasercodes for example.
But thats not a thread to discuss the solution, but to give ideas and input to the devs, if they want.

I’m an inclement weather whore. Would love a lightning bolt/lightning that doesn’t look like a thick blue blob. And rain sound effects on the canopy.

Hey Stalker, good point. I agree with you regarding the visual effect, but does a pilot with earplugs and helmet really hear the raindrops on the canopy?

Having a realistic lightning is difficult , would a much thinner strike would be OK ?
