Hi Andre!
Question (I wasn’t able to find any answer on your WebSite nor in the FAQ) … is it planed (if even possible) to make SimShaker (SimShaker Wings) compatible with FS2020 ?
Regards.

SimShaker stopped working recently, app loads but no output.
-
Bummer.
This was next on my “to buy” list.
But -->
-
Does it work with discrete BMS 4.37 inputs (rather than a simple generic massage effect)…?
-
Is it still available…?
-
Is it still supported…?
pr0n

Out of the box…? Plug’n’play…?
I would say yes. You just have to tune your settings.

Did your license somehow become cleared @Mower? Do you have SimShaker Wings, Andre’s version that supports BMS. The DCS version on BMs versions no longer carry over but I thought you had been flying BMs after that happened.
@Aragorn SimShaker is the software. It takes BMS shared memory events that may or may not have sounds associated with them and makes either discreet sound output channels to your relatively quiet but shaking bass transducers (like Buttkicker) or you can have it also output to the JetSeat/JetPad massage chair like thing. So the setup can be setting up a single channel extra sound card channel or even a whole extra sound card to you bass transducers. Output to the JetSeat is pretty simple plug and go. But even then you will probably want to tune your effects to personal preferences. There are some I have shut off completely.

@Aragorn It’s been out for ages and while it may still be manufactured, the current state of affairs with Russia and that part of the world may make getting one impossible. Next Level Racing seems to have made a version of this but got sold out straight away. No idea how their software works but the hardware and motor placement looks exactly like SimShaker.

Mine did too. There is an update that is needed.

Do you mean there is an extant update which you installed, and which Mower should find…
OR
…an update is needed which has not yet been provided…?
Cheers for the clarification.

……or both. I use both Jetseat and Buttkicker together and it is really excellent with the two combined.
-
@Icarus yep definitely, me too but normally the bass pucks because the Buttkicker can be a little much with everything else.
Just some basic bass pucks and a 7.1 sound card if the JetSeat/Pad is unavailable could be a reasonable option with zone output instead of the single channel and more expensive Buttkicker.
-
@Snake122 I already had Buttkicker. Pucks are fine. I just adjust volume on it until its perfect. It gives a bit of umph to the jetseat.
-
I’m on simshaker wings version 2.14 beta it still appears to work fine with BMS.
Cheers, Uwe

@Mower Do you have the SimShaker Sound Module AND the SimShaker Wings module? Are they both up to date?
Latest version of Sound Module is 2.26:
…and latest version of SimShaker Wings is 2.5:
(apparently you could discuss this app on Faceebook , or contact support) -
@Aragorn Sorry, as shown by SemlerPDX, in app update for SimShaker-Wings to 2.5
