I haven’t gotten a chance to port over the sounds from 4.33 yet. But if someone wants it, I will get it done and put up a link.
I may have it… I need to check my files.
Are there any tower freq’s for Egypt? Or do you just roll out when ready?
Edit: Nevermind forgot about vhf
Okay so no response. I will wait for 4.34. Too many issues atm.
Wait… Shadow? Coco? Hollywood? you guys are still here?
Sooooo……
After all of that back and forth, do we yet have a way to add just the OSAN mod to an existing objects folder WITHOUT having to re-install all other mods? This has been holding me back from adding it to my custom modded folder. This is a very impressive mod and I have spent a lot of time toying with it to get it to work with my objects folder, however there are some issues that I cannot overcome yet. Other airbases have lost their point data when I install this mod. I can correct it but it it just takes 4-ev-er!!! Does anyone have point data for this mod that is correct?
Well, yes and no. With Hornet I’m avoiding slow fights against Su-27 and Mirages 2000. They are even better I think - at least in DCS. Always looking for energy and 2 circles fight or verticals - never go for scissors with them!
In the other hand Hornet has incredible speed recovery rate - perhaps way to much than irl.
Agreed, I was just referring to this particular fight and the fact that he was using an F-15C.
Lesson: Never get slow with a Hornet. F-15 is a boom and zoom, like the P-51. The Hornet is one of the best slow speed fighters out there! You must respect it’s nose authority at low speed. Nice fight!!
So the point is then you cant use this folder when wishing to join a server unless by some chance they have turned off the “no cheat” setting ? Even though its surely not any form of cheat mod. If so then the claim “while still providing you with the ability to fly online without issue.” is not in fact correct. That’s what it seems anyway.
:roll:Okay….
1. You can fly online with with anyone using this modded folder. If the host is requiring you to use the same sim acdata folder that he is using, then NO you need the stock or whatever simdata folder he/she is using. This would be the same regardless of theater because the host is controlling the option. Normally this does not happen unless you are flying on public servers and they require this, or someone purposely checked the box on the host side. Usually however, when flying on public server that forces this option they, have their own version that needs to be installed before flying. The option to force people to use the same sim acdata file is here:
2. Why would you do this? The reason for this came from people in the past, cheating in online gameplay by modifying the flight model or aircraft they were flying because they lacked any skills to survive in a multiplayer environment. I have flown with this custom modded folder online without issue. I use it when flying with my squadron as well as just with other people online in general. Since there are no performance modifications done it IS totally compatible with online flying. The reason for the ACdata folder and bombdata folder inclusion is for the Janhas models that have different DOF’s and switches for his models, it is NOT a performance mod.
3. To fly online with the modded folder simply uncheck the “same acdata files required” box in the menu. Again the only way it will not work is if the host has this box checked.
I took these screenies during a BARCAP mission from the TS campaign using the Custom Modded Folder for BMS 4.33.
I thought that I had somehow damaged the gear during taxing to the active, but the same damage was there upon landing. I was able to taxi normally and noticed that the wheel continued to turn normally, so I think it may be a graphical glitch of some sort. My wingman also had the same “damaged” gear on his jet.
P.S.
2300 CST. I just completed another mission and it seems there is problem with this particular F16 model, as all the AI that are using it have the same landing gear issue.
Possible missing .dat file. I will re upload with the fixed folders.
I would like to add a separate exact copy of the original Korea theater. This copy need self contained files for me to modify without effecting stock Korea files. What are all folders/files that I need to duplicate the stock Korea? Changes will be aircraft loadouts, taxipoints, additonal objects to airbases, objectives, and campaigns. Here’s what folders I have so far:
Art
Campaign
Doc
Movies
Sim
Sounds
Terrdata
Music
Hello,
Couple of shots at the ramp:

2.1 is NOT compatible with Ostsee. That is a very different database. I think Tom has done a wonderful job with Ostsee. I do not require to modify his work as he has a lot of upgrades and custom objects already included. Using the modded folder within the Ostsee theater can/may cause issues.
I downloaded the 2.1 version linked to in the first post and yes I did overwrite the objects folder.
Seems the AGM65G and some of the external model pilot and cockpit textures went weird too.
Ok what’s happening is your overwriting your existing Objects folder with the modded folder. Because the Hi-res textures are STILL in your existing folders, 2.1 doesn’t overwrite them. In 2.1 I have removed the Hi-res textures for the AIM 9X and AGM-65D. Since there is nothing to overwrite, it keeps the HI-res .dds files that are already there. Please read the install instructions:
Do not overwrite your existing Objects folder. Rename or backup and delete your current objects folder and replace with the modded objects folder.
Great work, thank you. Particularly the F-16 skins. However, I get odd textures on the AIM9X and AGM-65D’s.
The 2.1 notes say: “Removed Hi-res skins for Aim9x and AGM65 models causing skin issue in game.”
Am I missing something?
What version did you download?
Did you overwrite your existing objects folder?
No I haven’t changed anything with the carriers.
Hey Rthorflech…was just browsing through your modded folder and you added janhas’s wep pack…but not the Misdata folder…Just throwing it out there.
Thank you. I might do a seperate upload as it takes forever to reupload.

Okay thanks!
I was going to put this in the Technical section, but when I started to think about it I realized it probably was the affect of the modded folder. I am surprised though that there was no gradual indication, either visually or by the sound of increase G breathing ( I had the O2 switch on btw).
Thanks!
Dude it’s not the folder! You will get gradual fading. With the sound folder you will hear the pain!! How hard are you pulling on the stick?, and at what speed? I’m always trying to max perform the jet wihtout breaking it (or me!).
I totally get faded!!
