@drtbkj true it’s a bit more nuanced and dimensional, than my simplified 5 levels 🙂
fyi I do see some diffs in the AFM flight model for F-18C … just diff’ing 4.35 and 4.36 folders. the changes look mostly related to gear and flaps. not sure if it addresses the flat-spin issue you mention.
@Sgt_Fresh-0 the F-18C with Viper avionics is super fun and addictive …
Hi, Airtex. The flat spin issue was in the F18E. I’ll be checking that out one of these days.
Also, you raise a point I was going to mention , the avionics. Sarge, you’ve probably seen it by now, but all the jets in BMS use Viper avionics. That can be good or bad, depending on your preferences. I know people here who absolutely won’t fly anything but the Viper because the others aren’t “real”, and we completely respect their preference. However, on the other hand, you have people (like me) who like not having to change mental gears when flying other jets. The point is that you can fly and fight the Hornet just as well as the Viper. Plus , you get to land it on a carrier 😉
BTW, here are some options if you want more “Hornet Flavor” to your HOTAS setup. Check out either our Fighter’s Manual or the early posts in the BMSOFM thread.
