I have a TM warthog. I Use Alternate Launcher using DirectX. With alternate launcher You can program your toggle switches on your throttle for off and on, and more. I Use Joy to Key run as administrator to make use of the point of view Hat on the throttle. Very simple to use.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
I notice in game the Keyfile is still called BMS Full, does your Keyfile override/overwrite it? There were a couple keys that I set in your launcher that didn’t show up so I reassigned them in game, but 95% matched (for what I have on A CH Fighterstick).
It doesn’t rewrite it unless you wanted to augment. Mostly let you use the BMS full to its greatest potential. Alternate launcher is the software that should’ve been developed years ago and puts the stock GUI obsolete. The stock GUI keys programmer is incapable of translating everything that alternate launcher can do. You will have to go into the 3-D to see it work and to check it.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
I Have a Warthog and I use the paddle switch for the shift, then I use the button on the throttle plate for the paddle switch. I have small hands. I Use Joy to Key to have the Cooley four-way send key presses. Run Joy to key as administrator.

RE: Mouse cursor for x and y axis on warthog not centering and going all over the place.
Anyone else having this issue? Seems that it started happening on 4.33 and 4.34 now when I calibrate them. Seems to go to one side or the other and not center
If you’re talking about the micro stick, well, I think it’s a piece of crap. I program that warthog with DirectX with this beautiful piece of software called Alternate Launcher. My experience with Target is kind of buggy buggy. With Alternate Launcher you can do incredible things with switch on, switch off, shift. You have 32 DirectXs on the throttle, + 4 of point of view./Coolie hat/which can be manipulated by JoytoKey / to keypresses for targeting cursor instead of the micro Cursor/ switch. You must run joy to key as administrator.
I have replaced the micro switch and have used Thrust Masters calibration tool. The replacement was about as bad as the one I was replacing. That’s a shame, bad choice TM.

RE: Coolie hat inop
My warthog is set up completely DirectX with all the frills available with Alternate Launcher. For the coolie hat I use joy to key to send keypresses and it’s easy to use.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
Thank you, I will try this, although I don’t intend to use a four-way hat switch. I will try this with the EAC switch on the warthog throttle.
I apologize, I completely blew over your instructions. You can do incredible things with your software and it works! I just set the F-16 autopilot up completely with the autopilot toggle on the warthog. I use the autopilot on button, as the paddle switch, works great. I use the paddle switch as shift/modifier because I have short stubby small hands…As far as I am concerned, you made falcon history.

RE: Falcon BMS Alternative Launcher (Easy Setup, Keep Joystick Assignments)
I can’t thank you enough for your work on this project. I’ve tried in years past to manufacture a shifted state for that warthog throttle, never could. This works like magic, after I realized you must install your software on a vanilla BMS.
Could you explain in greater detail how to set up a simple on/ off switch with the two callbacks, Jammer on/Jammer off. I think I’ve tried every combination, but probably not. I must be missing something, help please.
I would really like to be able use this instead of throwing the toggle switch twice for off and on.

RE: Kolbe's Key File Editor issues
Ice , Can your profile function without target?? I guess I mean keystrokes for Helios, directx for HOTAS… no Target.

RE: Kolbe's Key File Editor issues
I also want to add that the joystick should be 0-31 and 256-288.
Throttle should be 32-63 and 288-319. Am I missing something? Those are the only two controllers. I use assigned to DirectX. -
RE: Kolbe's Key File Editor issues
I hope somebody out there can help me with this. I am using Ices profile with keystrokes, no problem there, but it seems as though I can only manipulate the DirectX shift on the joystick. I have read everything I could get my hands on, but it appears as though the warthog throttle is unshiftable. Is there some version of Excel that works with the key file editor? I am renting Excel from Microsoft and it doesn’t seem to be able to export correctly. I guess I really mean the DirectX doesn’t export without error 2023, I believe. I have done everything in notepad++. I thank you Kolby And Ice for all the work you have done.

RE: -Ice's Falcon BMS Helios Profile Updated!
Ice and I3Dman, thanks for the advice and I will certainly take it to heart. Over the years. I try to keep the controls the same from HOTAS to HOTAS, so I don’t have to relearn muscle memory so much. At this time. I’m quite sure that the warthog throttle is not taking DirectX shift command’s. This is a mystery to me and I would like to know why.
I have used more Morphine’s profile a little and it is a very fine one, and I should have no complaints, but I would like to shift things around a little and probably need to learn target scripting for that.
I would like to thank Ice Again for his exceptional Helios profile and for his part in keeping BMS alive and growing.

RE: -Ice's Falcon BMS Helios Profile Updated!
Ice, thanks again, I really didn’t expect you to reply so fast. I don’t use target, I just use your keyfile, which controls your Helios profile splendidly. I then use only DirectX for everything else. I have had some luck, programming DirectX with notepad++ which gives me shifted DirectX, but mostly it only works on the joystick. It doesn’t seem to work as well, at least with limited luck on the throttle. I have used the sim GUI to program DirectX to the throttle, but you can’t program the shift DirectX from there, you have to do it in Notepad++
Because I don’t use target, BMS only recognizes POV hats on the primary controller, which is the joystick, pitch and roll. Joy to key is a program that can send keystrokes from any controller and BMS recognizes the keystrokes. As far as I know, there is no shift for joy to key, but anyway, that was my workaround the missing throttle POV, the coolly switch on the warthog throttle.
I can program the shift trigger to be the paddle switch if I want which I may do later on if I can get the profile shifting on the warthog throttle.
I seem to be missing some information on DirectX programming with the shift or it’s just glitchy. Anyway, thanks for your reply and I hope this explains better.

RE: -Ice's Falcon BMS Helios Profile Updated!
Ice, the first thing I’d like to say is thank you for such a wonderful BMS Helios profile. I use keystrokes to control Helios and direct X to control the warthog hotas. The Helios profile works wonderfully, but I’m having some problems with the direct X shift on the throttle as I have read everything I can get my hands on and it just seems a bit glitchy. Also I use joy to key and keystrokes to control the coolly switch. The throttle boat switch works great for D,C,M. But back to my original problem, does anyone else have problems programming DX shift to the warthog throttle?
Also, I’d like to add that programming DirectX via the GUI in the sim works good, it is marked with a number eight in the keyfile, but the shift programming sometimes takes in some time does not. I do realize that you cannot program direct X shifts via the GUI, but do it manually in Notepad++. Any help would be appreciated.
