RE: Flounder's X52 Pro Keyfile/DX Profile for BMS 4.33
Yes, I have the same problem. That is a Saitek problem. You can see the jitter in the Saitek Control Panel, without BMS running at all. It’s possible that if the pot were cleaned it would improve. Moving FOV to ‘button’ control instead of axis control could work; rearranging axes could also be tried (not sure how good that would be …. it seems like all the axes jitter a little bit). You can also look at setting a deadzone or at changing the FOV increments (in the Falcon BMS cfg file).
Sorry for reviving this post… but how do you change the FOV increments in falcon bms.cfg when slider is selected as FOV?

RE: Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
It’s my understanding that all the IP addresses have to be on the same subnet, so yeah, find out what your main computer has in the way of IP address, then find out what your Android device has ( make sure it’s connected to your local router - not the mobile phone network ).
When I configured mine it was as follows:
Main PC ( Server / Game Machine 192.168.1.96
Android Device ( get this from the device itself, or your hub where it’s connected wirelessly 192.168.1.170Press the “Set” button on the android app and just accept the defaults.
If there are multiple IP addresses in the server software, just select the one that is you main WiFi connection and the same format as the android device.Close the app. Slide it shut ( extra safe ) . Close down the server. Start the server. Start the app.
Then things should be okay.
Yep, I did this (I selected server IP to 192.168.1.6 and pad was on 192.168.1.2) and confirm that it is WAY faster. Thank you nacnud!
I am having another issue, however. When I press a button on the pad, it doesn’t always register in game. For example, in the HSD MFD page a CNTL press on the pad registers in game… but for some reason DCPL button on the same page does not…
For testing purposes I have the X-52 profile that came with the downloaded selected in both the MFD server and in Falcon itself. Should I send the log through as well?
Thank you so much for this support by the way - FANTASTIC!
Cheers,

RE: Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
Did you ever get an answer to your question? Please post if available. Thanks
komcuru advised me to reinstall the app on my android device and make sure the device and server (ie main computer) should be on the same network segment ie, my IP addresses were:
Msg 2017.01.15 18:18:11 fnkReadXML –> ServerIP : 192.168.56.1
Msg 2017.01.15 18:18:11 fnkReadXML –> AndroidIP : 192.168.1.3I think those numbers needed to be the same. Not sure how to do that though! Guess I will google it!
Thanks

RE: Typo on pg 63 of Training Manual
Ah yes, true. Forgive my very poor maths!
-
Typo on pg 63 of Training Manual
I think there’s a typo on pg 63 of the BMS Training Manual. It says:
The best glide speed is thus typically set to 200 knots. Best glide speed with gear down is 10 knots less than gear up best glide speed (190 kts). To find out your best glide speed in any configuration just fly a 7° AOA attitude. The real Dash 1 manual says that the F-16 will go 7 Nm over the ground for every 5000 ft of altitude you lose. That is a fineness of 8.4. You will cover 8.4 Nm for each 1000 feet of altitude loss
I think the last reference there to 1000 feet should actually be to 10,000 feet…
Cheers!

Thanks will do once my Pad is charged up again…

RE: [Android] Falcon ICP + DED (now on Google Play)
Is your Pad on online and if it’s online. Is it on the same network as your computer?
Yes to both. I tried another MFD streaming app and that was working (laggy but was connected).

RE: Weapons Delivery Planner download broken?
@Cloud:
Here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/nfg4q6xi9wxf8n1/Weapon_Delivery_Planner_3.7.3.70.7z
If you have problems with this, then you may have a browser time-out issue.
Not sure if your EOF is the download or unpacking the file?
C9
Awesome thank you, I’ll try this and see how I get on…

Weapons Delivery Planner download broken?
I have been trying to download Weapon Delivery Planner from here http://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/download/index.html but for some reason I can never open the resulting archive, it tells me unexpected EOF…
Is there another download link somewhere?
Thanks!

RE: TomsKorea2015-Reloaded
First, thanks to Tavor and TomCatz for this amazing Korea textures. This is by far my favorite textures for Korea. One thing I’d like to improve is the water tiles. I much prefer the default water tiles. I tried copying some of the water texture files over from the default korea but it doesn’t appear to be as simple as that. Can this be changed relatively easily or would it be a lot of work?
Here I am in JanHas’s new Viper over the Sea of Japan with Tom’s Korea
And here is the default Korea.
Yes, these are my thoughts too. If we could get the new ground tiles with the old default water that would be EVEN MORE AMAZING than this pack already is.

RE: [Android] Falcon ICP + DED (now on Google Play)
I can’t get this to work… I get an error on my device (tried 2 x devices phone and tablet) saying “Connection Error: failed to connect to /192.168.1.6 (port 30456) after 2000 ms”. I’ve checked and the IP address for my computer is correct and the port numbers are the both on all devices. I’ve tried different port numbers and no joy…
Can anyone help?

RE: Falcon MFD Software for android tablets
Thank you so much for this great software.
I’m having just one problem - I’m getting a lot of lag on the android tablet.
Reducing the update frequency and changing the server IP address isn’t making any different.
Can anyone suggest a solution? (Or help identify the cause of the problem?)
Thanks!

RE: Backup UHF still providing comms in UFC mode?
I think I’ve found the problem. I had the VHF tuned to Kunsan, and so was still receiving Kunsan Comms. But of course that would only be the case if the other flights were transmitting on UHF as well as VHF. Does anyone know if they do?

RE: New STPTs to HSD…
A-firm, I read you 5 by 5.
THANK YOU!
Whoops just tried this. HSD doesn’t show new steerpoint as a dot even when I select it as the active steerpoint. The method I used was to go to a blank steerpoint (eg 11 in my case) edit the Lat and Long co-ordinates and press enter. The lat long data is stored for that steerpoint and the tadpole points to it when it is active, but it does not show on HSD…
-
RE: New STPTs to HSD…
If by “appearing on the HSD” you mean “having a line go there” then it’s simple: you can’t add any points with a line in flight, so you’d have to pick an existing point in your route.
If you just want to see “a dot” on your HSD then any point should do, it just won’t show up (if it’s not in your preplanned route) until you actually select it as your active steerpoint.
Does this answer your question?
A-firm, I read you 5 by 5.
THANK YOU!

RE: Reaching a STPT in AUTO mode while editing STPT information
I was making changes to steerpoint long and lat in the DEST page. But the selected steerpoint was a different one to the one that I was editing.

Backup UHF still providing comms in UFC mode?
Sorry if this is not the right place to post this…
I’m in the ground ops training mission. I am trying to mix it up and land at the alternative airbase, Kwanju, instead of the primary, Kunsan. So COMM selector knob is in UFC mode. Using the ICP, I change the UHF channel to Kwanju Tower 254.6 but leave the Backup UHF on the Kunsan Tower 292.3.
I can now use the radio to contact Kwanju for Kwanju QNH, landing clearances, wind checks, landing runway etc. However, I’m still hearing chatter from the other A-10 flights that I think are tuned into the Kunsan frequency. Is this right? The Kunsan frequency is only tuned on my Backup UHF radio and the COMM selector knob is set to UFC and not BACKUP…
If anyone can shed any light on this, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Reaching a STPT in AUTO mode while editing STPT information
Hi all,
When I reach a STPT (eg STPT 6) in AUTO STPT mode, and I am editing STPT information for another STPT (eg STPT 4) in ICP DEST screen, the ICP DEST screen goes haywire… It automatically cycles really fast through all the STPTs seemingly at random until I RET out to the CNI screen. If the autopilot is in STR SEL mode, it jerks around apparently trying to follow the random cycling through the steerpoints.
Is this behaviour correct? Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug?
Thanks!
