Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

Have you tried Online Squadron Collection? We do human wingops/ATC/GCI with that regularly.
Whoah, yeah I’ve looked at it but it doesn’t seem to recognize my BMS install (4.33 and win10). How do you get it to look so pretty and useful?

You can load custom maps, and make custom objects, lines, circles, labels etc. You can also import objectives like the airport layout, waypoints and threat circles of a particular mission etc.
EDIT/ it works fine here with 4.33 (windows 7) -
Update avionics for the F/A-18! (not the F-16’s ones)

EDIT ops wrong thread

To be able to assign View L/R/U/D to a couple of axes.

It would be cool to communicate with ground units on CAS missions, or at least through AWACS…. like pop smoke and direct. Those enemy infantry units are had to spot on TGP or mk1 zoomed in eyeball
That’s about the only thing DCS has that I wish we had.

Arresting gear located at airbases. Would go along perfectly with the modeled brake failures

…I should have thought we have that?

…I should have thought we have that?
Nope, I thought the same. But it’s not.
Figured it out playing around with the hornet (which while I’m on the subject, should have better brakes, at least they shouldn’t blow out as easily as they do now. They are much more robust than the viper). But yeah, blew the brakes, first thing I did was drop the hook, kept right on rolling. That was at Kunsan, and a few other places. But no doubt it’d be nice for the long and short field gear to be active in game.

Definitely. JTAC would be great.
Although during CAS missions I’ve had AWACS tell me to attack other targets which they gave me the Bulls/distance to. There is a FAC mission role that you can add to CAS packages but I’ve never tried that.

So, now that we have these new magnificent vapor effects on wings/fuselage, maybe it is time for the devs to consider adding and the supersonic effect at some point, enabled for a couple of seconds during the mach-1 and -2 transition?

A numerical airbrake position indicator akin to the flap or throttle position indicator at the top left would be nice. Only visible if airbrake position is >0.0. Or at least an “Airbrake” notification if the brakes are not stowed.
The cockpit indicator is really hard to see.

What do you mean by “supersonic effect”?
If you mean the sonic boom, there is no such additional effect when passing M2. -

Contact Lockheed Martin.
BMS philosophy is to mimic RL avionic. Not to re-invent it.

@Bellc09:
The vapor skirt
Also not happening again at Mach2.
The higher the TAS, the supersonic cone gets narrower, but there is not secondary/additional/etc cone (or sonic boom) when you pass mach 2. There is no such thing, sonic effects repeating at multiple of MACH numbers. -

LOL just imagine how much LM would ask for to develop that.

Read my post again. Nowhere do I demand correction for any questionable descisions of General Dynamic’s engineers.
I just wanted a nice little notification to increase situational awareness in the corner of my screen, because I’m just a regular dude with a desktop PC and a flightstick and don’t have my private full motion 360° F-16 IMAX.
But never mind that. The SA bar (Shift+3) has a readout for the airbrakes. Still, a solution that is not dependant on having to toggle something on and off would be nice.

For those of us who would prefer using the existing solution, i.e. the actual F-16 avionics, I think we would prefer that a solution that can be toggled off is better, and a solution that is toggled off by default is best.

I would like for the ground radar to see some improvements. It should be able to show roads, runways, rivers etc, which would make it easier to locate where the hell the targets actually are (and what they are). I’ve found with the new improved weather (loving it!) I’m flying much more in conditions where the TGP is no use, and using the ground radar more.
