Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

I agree and Id like to see the same change you describe; Im just pointing out its a good compromise at the moment.
Yes…have to remember to constantly keep the toe brakes down though (much preferred than having to relight engine in flight)!
Is “slightly fast idle is not unrealistic” because of RL pilot setting the throttle a little bit forward of full idle or engine RPM model inaccuracies in the sim?

The latter. Engine idle varies based on a lot of things IRL. In BMS on the ground, throttle position is the only factor affecting it as far as I can tell. Normal operation is within a fairly wide operating range; the quoted 700 to 1700 pph fuel flow at idle on the ramp is something my idle is within, but varies in, due to my slightly higher than idle ground position.

Kk.
RL pilots having to hold toe brakes down is random jet to jet then (or perhaps always have to hold toe brakes down for all jets)? In sim, parking brake works fine for "normal’ and slightly elevated idle RPM.

Depends on RCR, on the ambient atmosphere (which affects Idle RPM and thrust), and on the weight of the jet… a lightly loaded jet will roll, but one with some stores on the wings should not - but it should be able to taxi at idle or very slightly above.

Jet plane exhaust ( effect X2 more) …

@MEK:
Jet plane exhaust ( effect X2 more) …
Isn’t that configurable somewhere in de acdata file or somewhere similar?
-
in cfg change the speed limit for it. Also in combination you could use my particle system modification and you will have it much closer to real.
Edit: just in case dev’s thought there was no limiter on heat blur…
The exhaust has 2 limiters already
one from
particle system where you declare the distance for the visibility of the effect
and second
from cfg file with the speed limiter, so if you go above that speed the effect goes off. -
@MEK:

The exhaust in the pic is exaggerated due to film speed and the photographer panning with the aircraft.
Also, exhaust visibility is affected by temperature and humidity.

I think the full afterburner from outside view needs a bit of remodeling. F-16’s afterburner lookd longer and sharper at the tail

Implement in the pilot career the posibility aircraft failure in function how carefully handle it’s.

or even better mission rating if from ramp start to landing

True. Also, skip the checks should have an impact on the risk of failure.
I think with these implementations the pilot to better their material reward. That is, they try to accomplish the missions with the best possible technical and tactical know better and the machine; trying to avoid putting yourself in unnecessary danger situations. I think this would encourage learning. As in reality. -

I think this would encourage learning. As in reality.Personally, Ronen, personally I agree with you, completely. For me doing all the checks is part of the immersion. However, when this type of idea comes up, I become a bit concerned. Are we as a Community shooting ourselves in the foot if we make it so “technical” that some people are turned away? Not everyone feels as most of us on the Forum seem to.
Let’s take boresighting the Mav’s as an example. Yes, you, me, and most of us appreciate the immersion. But are we losing people who get turned off as the TGP won’t time on in time? Do we care? That last is not meant in a callous manner, but as a question of priority. Are we meant just as a Community of hardcore VVD(Virtual Viper Drivers), without compromise, or do we want something more broadly shared?
Let’s take this example a step further. The purpose of this thread is to basically ask the devs to do something. What should we ask them to do on our borsighting the mav’s example? Leave it as is(which i assume is as real as possible)? Make the TGP time in instantly?
Me, I want ARAP(as real as possible). I just wonder sometimes if that’s best for us.
End of ramble:) -
A new interface for TE, first! Then, new tiles photo-realistic, if possible.
Thanks for giving us such a fantastic simulator! -
I am amazed at the level of detail and play available now in this sim. I bought the original and played it in 99. I still enjoy it today. The improvements are incredible, considering how old the code must be to work with. Hat’s off to all the people now and before who have voluntarily altered it to this point. I am also taken back some at some of the improvement requests I read of, but then again this is the wishing well thread! Dream big! Just keep doing what you do best, making it better.

An ASHM display for cockpit display extraction would be nice.

I’d settle for hi-fidelity versions of the Hornets that are in BMS presently…

Support vor IPv6. Slowly the problem with clients not getting IPv4 internet connections increases.
I guess it has to do with the IVC modul based on TeamSpeak, cause the guys of TS haven’t managed to get IPv6 support into their product …
