Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

Really, the haze?
I am the only one who thinks the ground textures need more immediate attention?
I mean, those endless repeating tiles of the same 10 square miles of texture are eye cancer inducingYou are new here right. Welcome in Falcon4 world. And sorry for your cancer.

we should write a disclaimer about eye cancer in the installer… same for vomiting consequences after people see how ugly our work is.

Seeing posts like this makes me always wonder why BMS team releases their work to the community (and for free). Sad, man, sad…

why does everybody keep wining about the scenery?
Newsflash, it’s a combat simulator. I care 200 times more about avionics & cockpit accuracy then all the other eye candy outside. When I’m flying MP with the sqn or in a coop mission with others I care about the mission, the procedures, the execution and the team work. I’m not sight seeing the scenery, not counting leafs on the trees and not getting horny on the wing flex, improved vapours etc of my wingman a that time.
If you’ into that stuff, get FSX or DCS I’d say.+1billion

I am truly sorry.
My post came across in a bad way and disrespectful to all the hard work BMS has put into this sim. I am nothing but amazed by what BMS has turned this into.Forgive me my earlier bluntness.
I guess I am spoiled with DCS Edge.
I realize this community is a purist one that emphasizes MP experience and sqn procedures over anything. While my earlier post upset some people, rightfully so, my opinion still stands. This topic is called ‘If you could have one thing in the next update it would be…’. Obviously the immersion, realism and intricacy of 4.33 is top notch,
so to chime into this topic as a fresh newcomer, I vote ground textures.
Please don’t hate me for that. -

Please don’t hate me for that.Issue is not texture, but terrain engine. And this is a whole different story than texturing.

Acknowledged.
And again, apologies for having offended anyone. -
I really hope there is a switch to leave the airport lights on for good, huge pain in big multiplayer flights at night, worse if a different flight member joins for an overhead break, and terrible if anybody has to do a go-around.
-
Perhaps a future update could have lights that can be toggled with an IVC PTT zipper? Or mebbe leave it as a command, but make it leave the lights on for a little while after landing.
I wonder if it could be possible for the tower to recognise types of approach? Initial, tac initial would be nice.

I am really having good time with 4.33’s improved weather engine.
They are not only eye candy but also improved the experience of my flight.
When clouds press, I have to make a decision whether I should take a devious route, stay in low/high altitude, or go through and put up with non visual situation. However, I would like to ask if it could be possible to add some kinds of “soft particle” effect as configuration in next upgrade, and make its edge more smooth when cloud texture is crossing with terrain.
Perhaps Devs have already tried this (I guess so) and my favor is an another pointless one. sorry if it was… -
Weather Commander is another gem. I’m still figuring it out but so far it has made the campaign even more immersive.

In a real war there everything would be blacked out at night; that included airbases too correct?
-
From page 11-220 in the BMS manual:
11.2.2 Autonomous Approach
A new option for humans has been created and called Request Autonomous Approach. It can be used if the standard approach (controlled by the ATC) is not practical, for instance if you are doing an ILS approach using one of the published charts which does not follow the standard approach pattern explained above, or if you want to simply execute an overhead recovery maintaining flight cohesion up to the break pointThe reason this needed to be created was the fact that the ALS (Airport Lighting System) will now only be turned on for aircraft in the landing queue. If you were landing without contacting the tower like many of us did in 4.32 then the ALS would remain off. That may not be a problem during the day but creates obvious problems at night or in bad weather.

The minor concerns with the autonomous approach are what is being discussed PumpyHead

Correct. Also taxi ways would also be “dark”. Even runway light would be very dim. NVG approach is also used during combat operations with very little lighting.
I have found that when the airfield does not have runway lights on, I just use NVG mode and everything is good.
-
Would be interesting to note what altitude they degoggle for landing.

Well, there are some countries / AFB’s that have applied special paintings to the whole runways - hangars - buildings infrastructure making them invisible to IR & thermal sensors too…
-
If I could only have one thing, it’d be a centerline TGP for the Harrier, but to my understanding this is impossible without a new model?
Barring that, SDBII, then I could take SDB’s for everything including CAS!

…crap…I used to know this…
