What is your favorite target?
-
Flap-Lid . . . nothing better then to watch it disapear from the rwr and welcoming a massive attack’s, free of sa-10’s missiles flying around
-
Airfields, but that’s mainly because they tend to be more defended than factories. If there are factories with interesting defences dedicated to it, or close enough, then that’s just as good!
-
I would also say that my favorite target is not so much any one type but the total engagement and how it occurs. The more challenging, the more satisfying (or disappointing if failed). A target that is both defended by air and A-A where you have to balance your attack is most satisfying if able to achieve success in the bombing portion and defend yourself from air attacks. Having to preplan: alter waypoints, alter weapons, adjust for SAM and AA Threats, and then fly and direct AI wingmen to help achieve success makes it so much fun. I hate having to jettison my bomb loads in order to get out of a jam.
Ok, that all said, my direct answer is enemy ground units.

Favorite target is beating up on air defenses.
-
Anything that fights back. I enjoy a good aerial fight. But I’m a amateur so its a struggle.

Yeah, brother, I live to get down into their chilli and ruin their day.
-
Infrastructure - factories, nuclear plants. Nothing more satisfying than seeing LGB precise hit on TGP screen.
-
run ways with 107’s 500 feet 500 knts and then go even lower after last bomb gone ;0)
-
Fav target are enemy vehicle columns and #2 is refineries and all large ground installations like ports because hitting them with JSOW causes spectacular explosions. Fav loadout 4-Aim 120C, 4 JSOW and 2 MK-84’s (CCIP).
-
Large bridges, with JDAM… And I like to see explosions with Sniper pod

Right as a flight of Mig 29s are taking the active.

If it’s RED, it’s dead!
No favs for me. I go for sensibility in my campaign approach, so I usually try to clear the airspace, AAA, and SAM’s. Once the air is clear, I go for infrastructure and ground troops. Ground troops on the FLOT often get hit before I’ve cleared the air if they are threatening any forward troops. I like hitting ships sometimes, but I’ve found if you fly out of the bubble before they sink, you only get credit for damaging…but the ship will be gone after getting back to the UI.
CBU-87CEM is my preferred CBU unless there are later model tanks. I’m also enjoying the new SDB’s!
-
Large POL tanks at chemical works / refineries - I love to strafe them  the explosions are spectacular!

Think that’s to simulate them returning to port or something, you can stick around for days after damaging one and it still won’t sink as taking on water and the such just isn’t simulated.
-
well really the MOST fun is downing red aircraft as they try to takeoff. I will often leave Wonsan AB operational and down them as they take off while my ground forces shoot manpads at them. An F/A18-E loaded with heaters is so fun as is strafing parked and taxiing aircraft.

Hmmmmm
Migs with guns
Runways with 107s
Sam radars with mavs
TRIPLE A!!!
Harts
They are all fun
But landing with a clean jet is the best no matter what the weapon is -

Negative…They always sink (as long as you sufficiently damage them) if you hang around long enough, and if they were still “alive” they would still show up in the OOB. Have tested this over and over again.

Sam radars with mavs
Try the SAM radars w/ SDB’s. Been having some fun with that lately. Let me know what you think!
-
A flighter flown by a human pilot, within visual range, dead on 6, two AIM-9s. Very satisfying.
-
It may sound stupid, but for me it’s still the Assimi range near Heraklion on Crete
I just love trying out different CBU settings and fiddling with the new weapon systems available in 4.33 in a relatively peaceful environment. I wish I could get my AI wingie to drop all his / her weapons, too.
Also, it would be fantastic if BMS showed the debriefing screen after training missions as well. The data is being written to “briefing.txt” already so this really should not be too hard a fix I guess / hope…
All the best, Uwe
I’ve only recently started playing Falcon BMS and still attempting to land the training “Ground Ops” mission! I’ve wondered if there should be a debrief afterwards showing what I did/didn’t do. Where do I find the briefing.txt?
