+1
I like it a lot how you “fake” the 3D look on the 2D texture.
Superb !!!

You’re right. Maybe I should make two versions: day and night. The pilot who wants to fly at night has to load the “night version”. I note that. Thank you so much.
Best regards
Super…
Wonder if a .bat file or other mechanism can be employed to make a fast day/night swap of the texture files.

Yes, it can easily be done with .bat file. Again you are right.

Wow, it looks like the metal stuff in hardware stores :-). You are the king of Hornet-Pit. Thank you so much.
Cheers to all of you.

Thank you so much Sting. Your suggestions are valuable to me.
I watched sample videos and photos while painting HUD. I took this video and photo as an example. (excuse me my english is not enough)Nice job, looking forward to more Hornet time.
Regarding the HUD glass; I notice in the above the ‘trim’ on the top of the glass is actually dark/black whereas in the sim it is light/white…is this part of the texture file(s) or is this simply untextured and thus whatever the 3d model is/can’t change because it’s not part of the texture files?

You’re right. I reviewed it again. The top of the HUD glass changes color with respect to the sun. So the color changes according to whether the light is broken on the glass. Sometimes white, sometimes gray, sometimes black. Actually it’s all true. I think it could be a gray color.
Best regards
