Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

easily doable
Mount an small mirror on top of your screen , YOU can be your own Avatar
amazing isnt it ?

I’d like to see the Falcon BMS Config.exe have 2 Pilot boxes included so its easier for people to add pilot legs or the entire pilot one box for legs and the other for the whole pilot…always good to have options!!! Also it helps the peeps who don’t know to use the LOD editor

Well DCS has this on a simple keypress…

Well DCS has this on a simple keypress…
We don’t compete DCS , we dont play in the same league at all
DCS is top notch simulator that brings a fully operational stable platform with very high level of accuracy in flight models and avionics . All of this in a fantastic GfX engine , MP engine , last and top of the class support from the developers
BMS is a 20 years old simulator with simplistic flight model and avionics , shame GfX engine, porked MP engine , ridiculous UI , shitty fanboy community and autist développers. Best proof of BMS beeing shit is that it is free.
DCS is for real simmers
BMS is for poor (I mean literally) arcade , nostalgic simmers.Ok we all got that now I am fed up beeing compared with DCS all the time !

Well the best I can think of right now is,
“i know this has been legalized now in many places, but you’d better slow down on smoking”
(DISCLAIMER: no offense of course, just joking…)

In DCS, jokes are funny

In DCS, jokes point to bans.
Here, they will just poke characters like Mav to perfect the Su-33 AFM, then go upload some crazy manouvering vids on YT.
THIS IS why bms will live another 20 years, while the DCS is a giant that can very easily collapse within days. They are a “funded legal company”, this is a free group with crews all over globe.

20 years old simulator with shame GfX engine, porked MP engine, ridiculous UI, shitty fanboy community and autist développers - and still it is comparable with professional modern DCS.

Hello, i am a more recent “enjoyer” of Falcon BMS! Thank you for developing such a breathtaking simulator. I love every minute in it!
The graphics are extremly good for the age of the basis sim and good for my todays standarts. As always with attention to colors, shading, etc. you can always get much out of seemingly outdated graphic engines.
I wonder if the horizon might look better, if someone can blend the sky texture with the “fog of war” a little better.
I tried to show this with a photoshop edit of a screenshot. I will search in the bms folder for some regarding files, but if you can point me to the correct files, i would be very thankful!

EDIT: I found this thread https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?18240-About-the-adjustment-of-sky-color and it already deals with the question. The grey band might be the inversion layer.
I just think is visually not pleasingly, but thats not important for the development of the sim. -

Can you add 8bit retro graphics to the next release ?
Also please I want to be able to control the plane with the arrow keys, lock missiles with T ( pressing multiple times should cycle through targets) , and fire with “Enter” ( or Space ). -/+ should control the engine, and A engage the after-burner.
thanks much appreciated.

What you really wanna do here is, cycle through targets on your radar scope with T, lock it up with Z, and then press to interrogate its IFF with the N key, and if you’re really clever you do all three steps using a macro on your WCS2 software, a la Falcon 3.0

Bug spatter on the windscreen! :flypig:

I think Dee-Jay has the better handle on it. More realistic to say “everyone gets 1000 lbs”, as opposed to “everyone fill up to 5000 lbs”.
That’s how we used to do it for real.

Nah no macros just INT21h

I must have posted it already but once again…
Ruler functionality in the Falcon Editor.
One is the vertical - horizontal ruler to align features or whatever.
Like Photoshop or other tools. Display the rulers and click and drag to place where u want the ruler.
Second functionality to measure distances. click A click B display distance. Selecting units to display (feet - meters) would be a dream. -
In the history of stupid posts in this thread, this has got to be the stupidest of the lot. Congratulations.
Let’s go the whole way - set the player tasks to do around the base while shaking your ass - then we could rename the game Tomb Raider, and reclassify it as a graphic 3D adventure rather than a flight sim!
Thats harsh, especially seeing as its not the first time its been requested in this thread.
I feel like it would be a lot of pointless work to start in the briefing room, myself. Perhaps have ‘step’ start at walking into the HAS? Then you can step to another jet if need be, which would be a great justification to implement the failures which would preclude flight - something I understand has required some work-arounds in the theory discussions about implementing full fidelity failures and adding reasons to actually do pre-flight checks.

Texture aligning with LOD/BMS Editor…
BMS Editor isn’t modeling tool. You can easily do it in 3DsMax or Sketchup …
