Balkans Theater of Operation for BMS 4.33 U5

Hi,
I heard there is a lighter version of the theater in relation to the JanHas textures.
Since I freshly installed the release linked in the opening post and don’t see any other indication, I wonder if this release has already resolved the problem and there is no need for the alternate release.
(Just to clarify, is not for me but I have to ensure that my vWing has the best and overall the same installation)Otherwise, can someone address me to the alternate?

I do not have the alternate pack on my laptop and I am away from my desktop for at least another month….it might be on there. If anyone else has it, they can link it up here.

@ Vandroy, What version do you want? I have versions 1.2 all the way to v3.6……let me know which one you need & i’ll post you a link or give you link in PM.

After spending the last season on Israel and Korea, my wing, VIAF, is happy to return on this theater.

Hello.
While installing the legs only model I ran into a problem. I changed every cockpit2 value to the one in the readme.doc (for the legs only model), but while testing the F-16 52+ HAF (the first one I tested), I noticed that although the legs were present, some parts of the cockpit were missing, pretty much allowing me to see the terrain below as if it was made of glass (there were also some texture problems with the countermeassures panel, flickering in different tons on gray/white).
Odd enough, though, I couldn’t find the F-16 52+ HAF in the Add-On Balkans\Art\ckptart folder.Did I do something wrong or is this expected for the F_16 52+ HAF?
Also, there are the files called “8019-A.dds” “…-B” and “…-C”, inside the Add-On Balkans\Docs\Kneemaps folder, do I have to copy them to the \Add-On Balkans\Terrdata\objects\KoreaObj folder? Because apparently the kneeboards are showing the Map and airport frequencies correctly. -

Into the same folder …\Add-On Balkans\Docs\Kneemaps, there is a file named “Installation instructions.txt”.
Take a look at it and you will have your answer.

In scenario 0 “balance of power” on the map of the whole theater, there are not enough bridges, as a result - armored vehicles can not move in some directions and capture objects.
Also in the theater there are visually very good tile for places factories, electric power stations and other industrial objects.
Unfortunately they are not used.Example:
If someone needs it, I can post a revised version of the theater with a modified campaign “balance of power”, a database of 3d models, equipment, structure and composition battalions, sounds, partially adjusted bridges, places for industrial objects and other things.

- Updated J-22 orao, G-4 soko, SU-24, SU-22, SU-25, SU-30 MKK, AN-2 and other aircraft models from ccc1tw lod pack
BOV-1 ATGM in replacement BRDM AT
Chezh BTR-OT64, BRDM-OT65 in replacement BRDM-1, BTR-80
and (M-53, BOV-3 mobile AAA batalions) in replacement KS-19 and S-60 battalions.- Added or updated ground unit models M-109, М-106, М-60, DANA-152mm, M-80A1, M1126/7/133 striker variants, M-101-105 and other towed gun, tanks, truck, ships, helicopters, weapons, fuel tanks and other models from ccc1tw lod pack. Updated batalions.
- Updated locations on tile for Chemical Refenerys, Power plants and some Factories (WIP)
- Updated PAK MAP, objective links, placement of buildings, structures, places for artillery, AAA, SAM at the airfields, Factories, towns, sam site, army bases and and other .

Here’s my Balkans links, and 50% tiles fixed with Monster’s tool, Alternate database with some additions, units, ships etc… , but I’ve used save2. Campaign still wip, reworked TRI file ,(playable atm)
ps. May I rip something from your database (theater) if I like ?

I did for myself, I did not keep a detailed journal.
I was engaged in changes for over a year, I don’t remember all the details. Basic described above.
Database 3.5 with JanHas, but, with later replaced by standard models.
I was looking for the cause of rare CTDs, and later found out that the reason is that the “visible” flag for external weapons AT-3 or Aim-9 is set on Chaparel, M-80, or BOV-3 models. It was necessary to refuse this flag.With the help of the Monster’s tool and Mission commander, the places of installation of factories, power plants, chemical plants, or, if the place is initially good, were changed, simply changing tiles under the established types of factories (roads were added in some places).
With the help of the editor, was changed the detailed structure of the location and the number of industrial facilities on the required tile.
As well as points for installing AAA, SAM, Artillery on this tile.
These points are also added to the main - bridges, airfields, cities, towns. Vehicles takes these points s in an orderly manner.For example: Artillery Vehicles takes artypoints near town
default factory and tile, and updated factory position (changed tile place) and added roads.
All objectives links were deleted and recreated.
Added objectives Split Port and island Refenery, Dub Port, 2Pula Ports, 2 Zadar ports on good beach ports tile. And some bridges.Database data is unlikely to be compatible with others, as there are changes (added) in the number of CT records, for example, radars for Aim-120B and 120C have different CT records and characteristics.
Industrial Plants, cities, airfields have changes in the number and location of structures.
The battalions and Taskforces have a different composition.
For example, added Roland-ADS with its radar and missiles. Added Koni frigate to FRY. KA-25 as recon - replace KA-50 attack (changed data CT records)
ATGMs M-47, Javelin, AT-3, AT-4, AT-5, AT-10 or Frog-7 are used by the AI as real missiles, not an abstract weapon.For example: Frog-7 attack

Your version (save2 +TRI file) will most likely work in this database. It just won’t use all the advanced changes.ps. May I rip something from your database (theater) if I like ?
Oh sure.
The work on the reinstallation of Industrial objects to the corresponding tiles has been completed. Or tiles for these objects.

Ajusted A-10 engine ext noise.
Conducted 2 tests in 2D with a speed of x64.
In the first, the blue side won in 12 days.
In the second, the red side won in 7 days. -

i run the 2d war test at 16x, now on day 11… RED side has slight- or minimal advantage. most armoured GUs are lost due to clash of steel… i think both sides start losing the momentum to advance.

//FRY win- Control ALL of: Rijeka, Monfalcone, Ljubljana.For fun i start to “push” red GUs rolling…i use [add package] function to launch continuous, maximal A-G strike in Rijeka and Ljublijana, and successfully force BLUE GUs abandon the two obj. now i’ve Rijeka in hands and GUs closing to Ljublijana.
however Monfalcone is too far and in Italy territory! - i doubt RED side can win by its own, the AI ATO cannot generate sufficient AG strikes to wipe out a clean way to Monfalcone. i’ll let the cam run to the last. -
Alright, RED wins on Day 13, 2250.
i use [add package] to have maximal A-G firepower, wipe out all BLUE GUs on the way to Monfalcone, and order two RED GUs to capture Monfalcone … meet the win conditons timely.
PS - my test at 16x shows this cam doesn’t favor BLUE or RED side… means it could be a draw on Day 14 unless players fly in 3d/do more AG job to help GUs or manage air/land units in 2d.
Since BLUE side has more powerful air power, it should be much easier to achieve win condition. -
