Link 16 things you want in the next update

yeah. you can already do a markpoint using the tgp but u must have a good idea were the tgp is pointing and were u want your markpoint. It would be easier if u could only look and mark

@mhm:
I send them to home as soon as I hear joker call from my wingman. But I do not think this is enough. Sometimes engagements can be long and when you send your wingman to home in the midle of an engagement things are not going well. So if I know my wingman’s fuel and weapon status better I can send them to home on the right moment and probably alive. Or maybe as a flight we can all RTB. Because sometimes you need the all of the flight members.
1 - As flight lead … one have to know the lowest fuel state of your flight before starting an engagement, evaluate an autonomy and take a decision if/if not we can sustain the engagement.
2 - Life can be cruel. Sometime decisions wasn’t the right one.Now … in case you didn’t noticed it … Intra-Flight is no more “polluted” (interrupted) by AWACS or Package members calls on Tactical. So, while that kind of situation you are describing was common on 4.33, it should be much less an issue in 4.34 …

@mhm:
For example, I always turn on the subtitles to increase situational awareness during an A-A engagement. Because, waiting for my wingman to comple his sentence about fuel and weapons status can take ages. During the of transmitting their fuel and weapons status they cannot talk about more important things, for example they are offensive or defensive. What I do is, I call for fuel status and I read their fuel level on the top left immediately. After reading I do not wait my wingman to finish his sentence and mostly I make a “status” call to my wingman.
… Leading into the discussion we had in the past about changing it into the short format (which is more realistic and conformal):
Short Callsing (no need of the full callsing since msg comes from Intra-Flight) , Fox3/Fox1/Fox2 format / AG ordnance / abbreviated Fuel State.
i.e.
Coboy13 : 2 Fox3 / 0 Fox1 / 3 Fox2 / 2 GBU-12 / Fuel State 1500lbs
=> 3 ; Two Zero Two ; 2 GBUs ; five one. 5 seconds message instead of 15!

On my little own, I’d like to see some major improvements in graphics…
or something to make a start about, I guess it won’t come out so simple and easy.With best regards.

Thanks for the reply Dee-Jay. This is a perfect description. This is what I am aganist. I am a perfectionest and I do not want any casulties. Life do not have to be cruel:).
Also there are still some problems with 4.34. Sometimes wingman still does not obey the order. As consequence they waste muniton and fuel.
I will stop this conversation here because I get the point. But it still would be great to see this wish as part of realism :). Anyway, thank you for your time.

Needs more factual info here.
I am on the Rolling Fire. I went for a BARCAP, we had some engagement with the enemy and completed our patrol time. We still had 2 fox2 left(both of us). I told my wingman to rejoin because we were joker. But instead of rejoining, my wingman went after two MIG-19 those were 20 miles away from us and weren’t life threating targets. I also commanded “weapons hold” and “rejoin” a couple times, but nothing worked. I chased my wingman for a while untill Bingo. Then I declared RTB but he did not declare RTB. He was also bingo. Eventually, he killed the MIGs but he had to divert to closest airfield. We both landed safely. A similar thing happened in sweep mission. I hope this helps.

So my Link 16 things wishlist is following:
General system features:
-Possibility to set transmission power aswel as set receive only mode.
-Possibility to zero the keys (just like it is with IFF already) making system useless
-DTC initialization procedure
-Multiple channel selection for fighter to fighter aswel as mission control
-HMCS integration (for showing PDLT and so)Fighter to fighter related:
-SEAD datalink
-AMRAAM shoot lines (you will know at wich targets your buddies guide AMRAAMs at)
-Lock lines for wingmen AA tracks
-Secondary target transmission
-HTS triangulation
-Expanded data format for friendly aircraft
-All the basics like transmitting SPI, markpoints, friendly positions and soMission Control related (AWACS and so on):
-Expanded data format (to see things like type of threat), that would get rid of the radio clutter as it would be no longer needed to use declare!
-Mission Assignment for things like CAS and so on (AI AFAC would transmit those messages when you are CAS flight and you check in). WARNING! Knowing what is MA may make you banned on ED forum, so use that knowledge with care
-Mission Assignment for AA targets (AI AWACS would send them for CAP, SWEEP and interception flights).
-Friendly tracks (air defense, non air defense, naval and so)
-Enemy tracks (air, naval, air defense, non air defense ground targets)You got a lot of info on L16 there:
http://falcon.blu3wolf.com/Docs/MLU_M3.pdfGenerally speaking L16 would be my biggest wish for BMS at this time. Hope it will come at some point (i know it won’t be soon but i am rather petient men).
That would be a dream.
A huge step ahead for AA combat.
A ton of new code, but it would be amazing.
And that manual seems very detailed… Maybe too dangerous to code due to export control?Enviado desde mi POCOPHONE F1 mediante Tapatalk

Undesired “divert”. Some other flights are affected.
Maybe also a persistent defending status (?) … Maybe Jp could tell us more (?) -
I think bringing the opposition aircraft up to snuff is important because the viper gets a lot of work- even if it’s just under the hood-making them more equivalent in sensors and ability to the comparative modernity of the vipers in the code would make it less like Man jet vs boy jet, IMHO.

why not make landing gear lever press & hold instead of just one click? this might simulate the pilot holding the white button when moving the gear lever

I think its not so easy to implement, because its not always neccessary to press the white button on the gearhandle.

Got the same idea and decided that NK sent pilot spies to taiwan and hijacked three F-CK-1. Repainted them in black with NK stars and defended NK territory. If you want to bring the opposition up to sniff, go on, try this, you won’t be disappointed

under what circumstances does the gear lever not need to be unlocked to move it??
-
Gear down and WOW off. Then you can raise the gear without depressing the button.

Ambitious! However I suspect that anything along those lines would likely either go to an existing DOD contractor and would unlikely offer much in the way of systems, in an unclassified setting, that we don’t already have.

+1 for cloud shadows, please

Bring back the old cloud layers or optimize the current ones

Do you really think we will be back to satisfy dying old machines ?
We might provide options to reduce the impact for small configs
