Update on 4.35 U2
-
Sorry, folks… We already packed the new installer, but then 2 small bugs had to be fixed and we had to repack it twice. Nothing serious, but since the glitches were spotted, we decided to fix them.
It is already packed, no more testing. Now it is more about bureaucracy. I dont like giving a specific timeline, but I suspect we are one week away from it.

Consider this thread the most open communication thread about a BMS update, ever
This a pretty true statement and not in a bad way.
I get that BMS is a passion project from a bunch of hobbyists so than we don’t really get a say in exactly how you turn on the free ice cream machine. You aren’t ED releasing some half-baked updates all the time for stuff we paid a pretty penny to have work in the first place.
On the other hand, I do think that U1 required this thread because of its issues and I think in this case it was the right way to approach it.
Honestly, I like what you and MaxWaldorf are doing on the PR side of things (Edit to add Seifer as well!!!) and would make your guys’ appearance on the Air Combat Sim podcast a mandatory listen for BMS users:D (the full version one too!) It was a bit of a breath of fresh air to see behind the shadowy curtain of BMS and at the same time better understand why that curtain is there.

Thanks for the continued updates, folks. I hope the new release will sail through the bureaucracy like **** through a goose
All the best,
Uwe

True right, dear Uwe…
always told that with all the respect due to those gooses, of course.More seriously: it was a very long time that I missed more official informations about Falcon progressing, and this is a clear sign of good will. Well done, then, and very much appreciated.
With best regards.

Appreciated!
The podcast helped a lot to put the team’s work in the spotlight as well.
There might be other podcast updates in the near future depending on what we can share.Obviously, don’t expect to over-commit or start sharing stuff that would ruin the surprise
Falcon time is relative as the team is in a different time / space
Cheers

Is there any chance to check out that podcast again for anyone who missed it (like me)? I did a quick google search but could not find it.

I think this will go directly to the episode, but just in case it doesn’t it is episode 6 and 6a: https://redcircle.com/shows/air-combat-sim/episodes/eae6b3cc-53e9-4f19-9f9b-ec6c903e455a

I just finished listening to it. Many thanks to I-Hawk and MaxWaldorf for all these great insights. Chapeau! Also I highly appreciate the recent transparency.

3-4 weeks man, until it’s out. It doesn’t depend on one person, so no one in the world can tell you.

There will be a point where all except of one person have finished their work. So at that point he will be the one. Or if all have done their work and testing went well the one responsible for packaging and distribution would be the one.
So no one in the world is just not trueGesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk

If that person don’t say, that’s exactly the same for us.

I thought the wait was for the Billion, not the one.

What?! Are you sure about that? , now billion wants to Q&A ?? … doesn’t make any sense. They can’t even make a brick fly. Why give’em full viper FM for free… BMS sell them the SDI.

Just going on what Seifer says (reading between the lines). I assume the legals need to make sure BMS hasn’t stuck some text in somewhere giving license to all to sell it on (for example).

I don’t think you understand what is happening behind the scene…
So please refrain from commenting things you don’t know or don’t understand.Public forum is not the place to discuss legal matters anyway…
