Update on 4.35 U2
-
I’d wish to get the MP more ‘refined’ a bit… I’m not suggesting here it’s currently behaving bad.
It’s only that also today I’m having a little bad sensation that some weird fluctuations (can’t define better now, sorry) when running couldn’t be imputed to my line current conditions only.
It’s only a sensation, I repeat, and not a suspect. But the same it’s still… call it sixth or seventh sense or anyway you like more. That’s it.However.
Most important, now: a great “Thank you!” to all the dev. team individually and as a team too for all what they did until now, they’re currently doing… and they are thinking to do in future as well, taking a well deserved vacation time at its first place. With best regards.

Concerning U2 and its changelog.
I launched BMS a couple times since March. I think I had never stayed away that long. And while I seated in boredom in front of my screen, all I wanted to was open a 2D map and think of a mission.
Apart from stability, there are in this changelog corrections and improvements that I’ve been waiting for, yeah, years.Everyone’s talking about terrain and visuals, but this is to me the most important update you did in my BMS life. Doing better will be complicated, even with fs2020 graphics.
Now I guess I’ll have some work to do, if you’ll let me :).

Don’t take the merit away before you achieve

Bad client.

So when is U3? hahaha

Thanks for releasing U2 today, it’s much appreciated. I really enjoy the open communication here about updates and I think you’re doing a stellar “PR” job with a quite prickly community, so hats off to you and all the devteam members who are trying to keep us up to date! :bowd:

Thanks for Update and everything BMS Team…
-
thanks for this Update!!!
-
THANKS, and GREAT work Gents.
-
Once again, guys, thank you all!! You’re the best!!!
-
Woo hoo, thankyou.
-
uhuuuu! Thanks
But…I am out of town until Saturday. No U2 for me until then :rain:

Hooray! At first glance, graphics throughput seems a lot smoother. Tried both 100hz g-sync, and 85hz triple-buffering. Still some occasional microstutters but they seem fewer and farther between, and more random… nothing like the steady drumbeat effect of 4.35.0-1.
Looks like a huge improvement!
Already my landings feel a little smoother. I wonder if I’ll finally be able to AAR with any real consistency…

in terms of performance 4.35 is way better than 4.34
with u2 i have slightly more fps 50-60 with shadow mapping , 70-80 without shadow mapping
its good, nice work i hope this is the last update of 4.35 lol

**Seifer, thank you so much for your role in keeping us ‘in the loop’ during this U2 update.
I’m in the middle of reconciling my falcon bms.cfg file. Could you tell me if the following line
set g_bStrictFogOfWar
has any effect whatsoever in this latest update? Thanks much.**

Thank you for the U2 update
-
Many thanks to the BMS team for your excellent work!
PS.
In version 4-35-1, KoreaObj.LOD file size = 2147 kb
In version 4-35-2, KoreaObj.LOD file size = 2501 kb
The change is significant.
Can anyone suggest which models (parents numbers) have been added or changed?I myself only discovered a change in some models of cockpits for the F-16.
