didn’t try deleting, but when X64 time acceleration the battalion finally moved to Brnik town. Thanks a lot folks I thought it was gonna be there forever :faint:. Very strange because on the map the battalion showed to be in Brnik town but when I recon Brnik airfield it was lined up there!

Glad it worked out for you. :thumb: For future ref, note that you can just place a battalion anywhere with Mission Commander without commanding it to move by just clicking on the “Place Battalion at Obj” button.

Errr… you can’t SUPPORT engineer battalion on the airbase … REPAIR/RESERVE is a must/ if there isn’t any damage to repair. (Support is for artillery , but objective/feature needs to have PD’s for them)

In 4.34 Balkans , every battalion has a problem with moving to the airbase because of missing road and trees,… maybe armoured batts. only since they have tracked movement (no road - problems with wheeled vehicles) …
So, solution is simple … repair damned roads around airbases , and tada … BUT, hehe. Problem is that the tool for the job is not compatible with 4.34 database (Terrain MonsterTool) , so its PITA working on tiles without objectives … possible but just PITA…
I can do it but I just won’t. I have my theater to work on. So that already takes too much time. There are all kind of capable ‘engineers’ in Balkans battalion so let them have some fun.

In those years there were some AIR fights , IIRC, but never direct HOT stuff,… was merely economical blocade, no fly zones etc , BUT NO aerial bombing of greater significance , committed war…
1995th, Croatia ‘cleaned’ most of the eastern part with US(NATO) help (intel, ew) , unofficially ,… then 4yrs of ‘stalemate’ … sporadic fights…

thank you very much. Is there any restriction regarding changing pilot’s callsign? I clicked on units/flights/double clicked the particular flight and I can see in the new page that the call sign can be selected but there aren’t any save button in that page . I did change the flight number say from 1840 to 1094 by hitting the return then ESC back to the main page but when I change the call sign and hit return it give an error sound!

You seem to forget Operation Deliberate Force during September 1995 in which 400+ NATO aircraft participated, hitting over 300 Bosnian Serb targets?
That neither scratched the surface… Serb just continued as ‘fragged’… or there wouldnt be need for 1999, makes sense ?
Even I cant recall 400+ airplanes in skies above , so… for the book(s) they are surely mistaken with some other country. (maybe budget re-calculation, who knows)Quick quiz… What year USS Roosevelt entered Adriatic.? (there’s your answer)

Yeah, wasn’t specific enough… Ain’t the roads broken. pardon for misunderstanding. … , But, the roads around airbases , especially if airbase is objective between two links (in the middle of the road), because of new airbase tiles some are not reachable because airbases are big objects and without roads around them units are confused.
But even some airbases objects are not unique. tiles repeating 8x , nevertheless they should be treated, make roads and check for trees.
Ok , here’s what we gonna do,! … I’ll repair one of them , save texture.bin /L2/ thr … and report if it is working then, … there is no sense in speculations

With every change you make with Mission Commander, there should be an “Apply” button (usually in the lower left corner) for whichever window you’re working on. That should set the changes and close the window. Then, in the upper right of the MC window there is a “Save” & “Save As” button that will save the changes to the campaign. I can’t say I’ve ever used ESC to back out of a window.
Also, take into account that MC isn’t without bugs. So any changes you make may result in some sort of error & it’s always advised that you make a backup of your campaign files.

it’s not a bug. Make it the same thing in TE.
If everything is OK in TEAnd if you’re a good boy, I’ll explain what the big guys have changed in the campaign :D;)

Links are OK arty, that’s the first thing what I’ve checked… , that’s the easiest part. There is something more that I’m missing. Airbase objective itself.
Same thing happens in KoreaKTO , no any unit can manually can get into airbase/airstrip form some other objective…
If unit was already in that target airbase , ‘force’ placed from the beginning, then it can’t exit from the airbase to some other objective. – Actually, that magicalyy worked on 2nd test, so unit CAN exit airbase.
So NO I/O. Strange.
Will see later what my dear friend DADO has to say about it.

–OK, Solved. It’s a global bug in BMS. All theatres, … IF an airbase/airstrip have squadron(s) , then you can’t move any (YOUR SIDE) unit onto it. (haven’t check CAPTURE airbase/airstrip with OTHER SIDE unit , that may work so not quite important…
So, problem is that SQUADRONS on some way ‘occupy’ objective space the same way as BATTALIONS do… but THAT’s WRONG. … It is a bug.Problem is that campaign engine will try here and there to move some AD/AAA unit on airbases so they (gu’s) will be ‘frozen’ for the next 4hr cycle. Workaround, use MC, and force ‘place unit’ on objective. But it’s not about workaround, that should be fixed.

Errrr maybe airbases have all points occupied and need more points to park what you want.
If the code puts the units to points to avoid units parked on the runway, and needs free points to park a sqdrn I wouldn’t call it a bug but a great feature.
In this case the big might be theater design, for not having free points. Still if this is the case and you get free points, most probably units might transition through runway and Taxiway while you might try to take off.

What is similar to Armored/Mechanized battalion and Squadron ? Nada.Zilch.
Those poor infantry units stuffed in mud, living in tents… and rain. … And those pesky arrogant fighter pilots… living in Bar’s.
GTFO you funny guy. No more points for you.Jokes aside, it’s a f*** bug rather then a feature, bases need AD/AAA defense, at least, or even, when under attack they would need some armor inside also or they are to be overrun very quickly relocating your squadrons strategically … err, run for your life.
example… So, when whole package of Su27/33 “rain” ARM missiles over your ‘Patriots’ you’re gonna end up without radars , so then you would need to relocate those damaged battalions somewhere to die, and bring new ones to do job … OR get ready for ‘Scramble’ .
So moving (AD/AAA) units in and out of bases is a must… not just …‘stupid feature’. -
In theater u can place near by vilages or arround the airbase (like with high value of importance and add all your Air defences and ground units and whatever.
Problem or (bug as u call it) solved.In real i dont think you will put your airport defences in the airport only.
