Hi, Seb,
https://discord.gg/fat9GhCP is the current link. Discord tells me links only last 7 days (didn’t know that-oops) . I’ll try to keep it up to date, but I welcome a pm at anytime, so we can coordinate.
I’m going into BMS now to see if I can find the other sound file(s) I was speaking of earlier.
All,
I hope to have the “Moving jets to other theaters” project finished this weekend , thanks to Brother Smartaxe. Also, it’s time do do some tweaking to the BMS Fighters Mafia. It’s time for BMSFMu1. -

hello, i have tried the f18 with f414 engines mod and it’s amazing, less fuel burnt and a amazing speed at 1650ft of mach 1.30, while f404 mach 1.09, if f414 has the same “size” than f404 why is not used in f18c? using this mod is realistic? what about mach 1.30 at 1650ft and f18c airframe

Hi, Seb,
Yep. My favorite thing is when you’re doing the departure profile, and from 300kt go to MIL and climb at 25 deg. up.
The simple answer to your question is-budget. The Rhino was always meant as a Legacy replacement, so why give the Bug new engines? However, here in BMS it’s a fun “what-if”, IMHO, at least. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
While we’re here…You asked about sound files. As mentioned, I have some sound files, but I’m still looking for the others. I know they’re in my 4.35 KTO, I just hope I kept the original. Still looking.
All,
The previously mentioned " put your jets in your favorite theater" project is complete. It took literally 5 pages of notes and 2 adult beverages(mine) for Brother Smartaxe to explain it to me. BTW, Brother SA has been promoted from Mafia Tech. Brain to Mafia Tech GURU. It’s such an involved process I even wonder if anyone would want to do it, especially as the Panther is now in a lot of the new theaters out now.
Also, as previously mentioned, the Mafia Manual U1 is also a WIP. In going over it, I noticed some Mod 2 cockpit changes were made after Brother Fox did the diagrams. So, in addition to those labeled…
From left to right…
.Left console-“Cypher” replicates the Viper IFF Master knob. You have the option of that or the more Hornet-like switches near it- The 3 volume knobs have HS for cockpit volumes
–Formation light knob has hs
Front Panel-the “DDI/HUD” switch has HS for DDI data on Hud switch
-“Video Record” has HS for AVTR-one lmb for auto, 2 for on
– 2 knobs on RWR are the chaff and flare switches
-Off the bottom of pic-The “ECM Xmit”, as well as the 2 bottom left switches have hs for ECM functions. The bottom one is jammer power
-“IR cool”- is the CAT switch
-“Map Gain” is the HMD knob
Right panel-“left and right Gen’s” are the hardpoint switches. - console lights has hs
As soon as I can get time, I’m really looking forward to Brother Wheelchock’s Hornet panel, with correct switch labeling
- The 3 volume knobs have HS for cockpit volumes

Good Day, All,
In other threads we’ve been talking about “plugging” the Hornet cockpit into other jets, and the procedure is in Section VII of the our Fighters Manual. You can use a similar procedure to put the Viper 'pit into another jet.
Step 1) Go to the 4.35>data>your theater(if not the KTO)> art>ckptart>your jet’s folder>3dckpit.dat file and find the value for wing model. It will look like-cockpitwingsmodel 1196;. Write down the number.
Step 2) Now go to the same file, but for the jet with the cockpit you want to have. I’ve found the F-16CM-50 is a good one. Copy both the 3dckpt.dat and 3dbutton.dat. files
Step 3) Replace those files in your jet’s ckptart folder with the ones you just copied.
Step 4) Go into your “new” 3dckpit.dat and change the wing model value to the one you got in Step 1.
Step 5) X out of the folder, and you’re good to go. -

Yes, Mas is right. Have you tried the E, the regular SLAM? The thing about the H/K is the range is soooo long. I set up a TE in Balkans to test both. And, even with Boat off the west coast of Italy the -ER was in range overhead! -
Hi everyone. I am Dardo_01 and I belong to the EdAv squad, from Spain. In our group we have several squadrons, one based on F-16, another on Harrier and finally one of EF-18M (improved F-18A). Following the release of Falcon BMS we saw our EF-18M losing capabilities rather than improving. We expected that these errors would be fixed with the U1, but this has not happened. After discovering the work done by BMS Fighter Mafia on the F-18C I decided to adapt the EF-18 cockpit as much as possible to real life.
I have changed the pilot’s legs for M2000 legs, I have added the transponder and I have implemented the IFF and the switches to control it, the UFC buttons corresponding to the IFF and ILS, the JFS switch, the extinguish master caution button, the button from FCS TOT trim, the parking break, the F-Ack, the RWR volumes and missile tone in place, the anti-ice, the overheat, the oxygen and the Mal Ind Lights. I have also positioned the light test on the light panel.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the FCLS reset button to work, or the HMS to be seen. Likewise, the TGP is not well positioned and appears as masking almost always, this is something that happened when 4.34 came out and it was solved, but I am not able to fix it. The only fix that I have found is enabling the TGP as internal and do not carry it at any position.
I offer myself to continue working on the EF-18 in order to be able to offer my work to the entire BMS community.Enviado desde mi Redmi Note 9 Pro mediante Tapatalk

Dardo_01, can you please provide a download link of your work to drtbkj, Smartaxe and myself. We would like to see your files and maybe offer some help in fixing the outstanding issues.

Hi, Dardo, and Chuckles,
I got your files. Please check your pm’s. Brother Smartaxe, the Mafia Tech Guru, already solved your big problems. I’ve looked at your Art files. Let me know how I can help. -
I just to mention that Smartaxe’s fixes to Dardo_01’s EF-18M as well as the rest of the EF-18M complete package have been incorporated into the release version of Libya 128 for BMS 4.35u1.

Thx, Chuckles.
While I’m here, here’s a quick update…
As we discussed in the other thread, the Group majority doesn’t really desire further F-35 development. Brother Smartaxe, however has come up with a really cool F-22 cockpit diagram that I will be "tweaking for the F-35. I also plan a F-35 Main Checklist.
We also got requests to show some love to the EF-18M and the CF188 cockpits. Those files should be to you be the end of the weekend (I hope)
Work continues on the Fighters Manual and the Mafia Files. It’s kind of grown beyond the original “fix some hotspots/short term project” mindset. I’m working on a way to maybe just add appendix’s/updates without rewriting everything, kind of a multi-volume approach. -

And the RAAF F-18 copkit, which has the same problems as the EF-18M, and I think it has exactly the same solutions.
Thank you all

You’re very welcome, Fresco. You are illustrating what the Mafia is trying to do, cockpit-wise. We’ve come to realize that to update both the cockpits and things like checklists for every single BMS jet is beyond our time limitations. Fortunately, we have 2 really good pit’s in BMS, a Viper and a Hornet. So, we can do a plug and play.
All,
As previously mentioned, we are helping with the EF-18M. We should have the updated cockpit in the Mafia Files by tonight or tomorrow. Meanwhile, the other two issues with the EF were TGP location and HMS function. Now in the Files are “HMS ef18m fix” and “parent 1091 tgp fix ef18m” . They address those issues.
Also, I’ve been thinking about how to restructure the Mafia Files and the Fighters Manual. I’ve come up with an idea, and am seeking your opinions.
The idea is to have the zip form of the Mafia Files to be the Manual, which does not change( at least regularly). The unzipped portion of the Files has 2" Update Volumes". One is the collection of files and DOC that gives a brief discussion of what that particular file does, and a “Tips and Tricks” version. The TnT version has such things as the Tornado flying tips a friend sent me. People can come in and download what particular file(s) they need.
This seems like a good long term solution to me, what do you think? -
It is a good idea,
I understand and share that the BMS developers do not have time for other things than the best advance in the simulator, and I imagine that now, with the great prospects in doors, such as the new terrain, the implementation of VR, etc, they do not have time or resources in solving these issues.
However, it is a real shame that the work of so many official developers as well as the community, who have selflessly developed cockpits, flight models, even implemented really good naval operations, gets lost, WE LET IT lose, and I don’t mean only to the developers, but to the community.
So I think we should be as helpful as we can on at least these non-core simulator issues.

Good Day, All. One more update for today…
A DOC about current BMS F-22 functionality is now in the Mafia Files under “manual f22 pit”. Keep in mind that this is current functionality. As soon as I get a couple of files from Brother Smartaxe, I’ll be tweaking it for added f-22/F-35 functionality
