RE: Link 16 implementation
@slient too complicated and a lot of things are classified. The DCS implementation is very arcade-like.

@redman386 I can only suggest that you sink this piece of SHIP to stop the Su-33 printer…

RE: A-10C FCR issue.
@kavelenko I think due to the lack of a radar on a real A-10.

RE: Saitek X65F & BMS Alternative Launcher
@PRNDL I have been using VKB NXT for over 2.5 years without any problems. Accurate, functional and worth every dollar spent on it. This is literally the most cost-effective option on the market.

RE: SAM AI vs AI flights
@jstnj you can find more information in “The Vault” doc by TeeSquare.
And i highly recommend playing SAM simulator.
There are many search radars, but in the case of SA-2, only Spn Rst in BMS. So you only need to destroy Fan Song FCR radar with HARMs or knockout Spn Rst with other “toys”.=)

RE: Saitek X65F & BMS Alternative Launcher
@dawgboy NXT is a stick, not a throttle, but VKB released the STECS throttle about six month ago. While there are “finger lifts”, they are more like triggers, with one trigger on each side of each grip.

RE: Updating some 3d models for ground vehicles
@Betto i love your work! I think it will be nice to see the updated 2S4 mortar instead of the old 1998’ model.
Although it is strange that the DPRK has such monsters in F4, there are many battalions of them there.

RE: 4.37 Campaigns using AGM 65L
@Soundman Always control and change the flight loadouts in the campaign. This is exactly the place where you will need “babysitting”. HQ also likes to load GBU-31 AP for AI packages instead of something more useful, which degrades the effectiveness of interdiction strikes.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie they definitely should have an effect, perhaps this is not modeled for the TGP and the laser beam.
It was lasing, the “L” on the TGP&HUD did not appear on the screenshot because it was blinking. As i said, i am not too familiar with LMAV and its indications. Also, is it normal for the LMAV WPN display to show AG65K instead of L? My bet the LMAV is implemented into the F-16 through the regular maverick interface, which goes some way to explaining the wrong stuff you found.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie Screenshot before the third:
I am not 100% familiar with LMAV, but LMAV was able to track the laser spot. The problem not with LMAV’s as they are affected by weather, but rather with the fact that clouds do not affect TGP at all. -
RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@HaggisHero alright, i did some tests. I was wrong about LGBs - they will miss when dropping through a cloud layer. The problem is that the laser beam can “burn” through the clouds, the laser spot can also be tracked by the TGP through the layer, and the TGP itself can track an area or point behind the cloud.
That is, the weather affects weapon’s seeker, but not the TGP and its laser.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie the fact is that the laser in the first two pictures was fired far behind the cloud from the JTAC (this can be replicated in the JTAC training mission). It could not be reflected from the cloud.

RE: Multiplayer question: Multiple laser emitters recommended?
@Stevie actually yes, but… no
TGP can definitely see the laser spot through the clouds, same for LGBs:
Quite the opposite for the AGM-65L:
