can’t wait to see those in game!!!
I will make these beauties will suffer and so many brutal and creative yet realistically methods (no, going medieval on them with guns isn’t one of them) -
Both models are below 3k. I need to make some corrections because I made some mistakes (costs about 150 tris.)
The question is… we want more details?
I can do more for LOD1 (still below 4k).
LOD2 will be about 1000 tris anyway . -

What is your next plan. If anybody ever wish to model better different S-300 at lest first place with 3D models I can help with Hpasp with data.

Please consider the following:
1. SA-6 specifically and mobile SAMs in general are usually “rare” vehicles in a given scene, so I guess you can go a bit more “expensive” than the usual tank or APC.2. Such vehicles may be important for view through IR/TV MFDs, sometimes the “specific look” of a given vehicle will be important so another good reason to consider more details when/if you think possible while keeping the limits.
3. Regardless of quality of the top LOD, please have in mind that such vehicles must keep their “properties” in all “viewable” distance, i.e even if I look at SA-6 radar from 10NM with LOD3 I should still be able to see the radar dish, even if very low quality, you see what I mean?

My model is prepared to reduce tris even aggressively up to 1k tris without changing its “specific look” (in order to lower Lods). Less smoothed - e.g. wheels and cylinders give this effect and deleting unimportant details. So even from 10NM still you can see if… SA 6 or StraightFlush….
So:
LOD1 up to 4k
LOD2 about 1k
LOD3 about 300/350 tris
LOD4 less than 50/60 trisI see what you mean or not?

I would probably go something more like:
LOD 1 4k
LOD 2 2-2.5k (The distance should be small e.g. 50-100)
LOD 3 ~1k
LOD 4 <100 (make sure as few draw calls as possible. It doesn’t matter about the smoothing etc since it will be so far away)Regards
