http://www.launchvipers.com/bmsv33.htmlWOOOOW!! GREAT JOB JH!!
very nice models - looking forward to other variants! -
Just had a look on the package linked in the first post (not yet installed).
I’ve just noticed that for F-4E-IAF, you used the OFM (.dat) of the Non-Slated F-4E Blk41 instead of the slated F-4E Blk50 that is used in stock 4.33.
This will lead to severe restriction in turn performances… -

http://www.launchvipers.com/bmsv33.htmlLooks very nice… I just do not understand why Thurst values have been increased of 10%…, I’ve spent many months in computing CL, CD and Thrust to fit NATOPS perf with an average accuracy of 2% and, all that for nothing…

FMs shouldn’t be modified. I don’t understand why people are touching the aerodynamics after an expert spent precious time to get it to as close as possible to real. Is there some mistake here??

Maybe you and team should lock those files ?

Model Requirements:
Aircraft
A single 2048x2048 texture, using DXT1 encoding used for the main airframe. An additional 512x512 DXT3 encoded texture can be used for licence plates, decal and other items that require transparent layers.

Why do you have those constraints when you now have standard and high resolution texture folders? Some high res skins won’t even fit on a 4096x4096 let alone 2048. I’ve pumped a hell of a lot of high res files with no significant performance impact.
Damn, I miss that C-130H.
-
Indeed very good models… It uses the old weapon loadout witch indeed in A/G loadouts seems right but it doesnt give you the option for different aim-9s as many coutnries did in the past… Example Greece in the past in A/A modes always used 1 -P and 1 -L aim-9s per wing… meaning 1P-1L under each wing… Other than that yes i wait for the other Variants as well… might need some work on the canopy though!

Because… more textures requiring more API draw calls, so less efficient. Maybe later techniques will allow the restriction to be removed, but for now it is what it is. But people that build new models, better do it already with a single main texture… you can see in 4.33 the Harrier, the Rafale, MIG-23, MIG-29, MIG-25, any of them lack skinning details you think?

More variants and more skin? I have not “installed” yet. Are the AIM-9 stations separated HPs from inner underwing HPs?

Molni As JanHas answered in an e-mail i send him, there is no planned variants for now. His models are very good but he uses the old arming stations. So no its not seperate as i did in edits of the ccc’s models. I think hes based in the default models but added some more details and of course more polygons, they now have new working engine nozzles, accurate working flaps and slats, detailed wheels and wheel doors, airbrakes and new performance data (more accurate i believe). The rails for the sidewinders come with different lod using the inner pylon hardpoint. though its not difficult for me to make them “one” with the pylon but i have to ask him for his license to do that. Ill send him an e-mail tomorrow

Two main factors in skinning is level of detail (rivets, markings, text, wear, etc) and resolution. What I’m talking about here is the resolution and there’s only so much resolution from a single 2048. I made a texture mapping for a plane and i had to resort to separate files for different parts in order to maintain resolution and quality. The difference was clearly noticable.

U can use 1 sheet of 4096x4096, should be enough for a single AC.
