Ff you could have one thing in the next update it would be…

I tell you that this thread is pointless and devs staff do even not really read it.
Damn you! With this sentence you have destroyed the placebo effect this thread had for me
I can understand its disappointing sometimes, i’m in a similiar situation occupationally …

… Sometimes disappointing (c.f. Weather comments).
Please accept my apology this was not the aim of my comment.
It’s just weird to see screenshots from quite a few years back depicting relatively advanced cloud rendering.

http://users.skynet.be/state/falcon3.jpgi dont see any advanced rendering in what you are showing…just a different cloud texture.

http://users.skynet.be/state/falcon3.jpgcompared with earlier version you have in 4.33
- cloud evolution in shape and size with time
- layer thicknesses
- visibility control
- density and shape control
- multi layer in poor and inclement
- 7 weather types with realistic interpolation real time in between
- non uniform weather on the theater
-weather Mp sharing - convective /mechanical turbulences
-possibility to auto load real maps in live
…
i dont really understand what you consider more advanced in previous iteration of falcon
i think i will start stop reading that thread which only effect is to decrease my appetite to continue working on it

It’s just weird to see screenshots from quite a few years back depicting relatively advanced cloud rendering. The weather model has never reached such level in any version of F4 ever. But if by “advanced weather” you mean “candy eyes effects”, well, Falcon4 will probably never reach the FSX + Active sky level. So better enjoy the fact that BMS is at top level (for a Faclon4 version) rather than loving forever in the disappointment of never having what you can find in others more recents sims.
And this thread will not change anything, because if one day, we (BMS Devs) can do better, we will not wait for ppl requests …I understand the purpose of this thread … However, quite honestly, be aware that it is not really examined. Maybe just giving to the BMS team members a good idea of the future excitement’s level of users just after release of new versions or patches.
Damn you! With this sentence you have destroyed the placebo effect this thread had for me
…Well, if it is making ppl feeling good … do not hesitate. Mayabe on day we will see THE good idea, never thought/discussed before internally.

Would be cool if there was some way to allow the Tornado to use the TFR, without any pods needed. Is that even possible?

They already have onboard TFR.

Whaaaaaat? I guess I do not know how to activate it lol. I’ll figure it out tonight then. Thanx.

Totally agree Mav JP the latest weather system in .33 is far superior and definitely a vast improvement. We use the new features to its full potential, it’s one of my favorite new features in 4.33 and it is awesome!! If you learn how to set the ceilings, visibility, and use the zygrib and weather maps you get an incredibly realistic experience. The weather blending between grid points makes it even more so. The poster hasn’t fully explored the new features if they think the current weather system isn’t advanced. You knocked it out of the park and imho the only thing that needs implemented down the road is winds aloft. I absolutely love it.

will a completely overhauled graphics engine ever be a prospect?
The F16 model and the weather effects are very sweet(although rotating clouds can be a bit irritating). but the effects and ground textures/meshes are so bad I barely have a feeling of altitude. The introduction of trees has helped a lot
Sorry if this has been asked before.
Heck, if BMS ever decided to make something like Falcon 5.0, I’d be the first to put down 50€ for that.
That being said, 4.33 is still very nice! -

You may not think so but Falcon has come a long way already since BMS was released gfx wise with shaders, autogen, improved tiles, and weather/FX.

.
Also, avionics improvements, FM characteristics, city/building models and yes, ground equipment has gone through a major upgrade and improvement. Is there still room to improve? Ha Ha, there will always be something to improve upon. That goes for any game/sim. So the future looks bright for BMS.

-
Really, the haze?
I am the only one who thinks the ground textures need more immediate attention?
I mean, those endless repeating tiles of the same 10 square miles of texture are eye cancer inducing -

That haze was in falcon 4 just to hide some of repeating effect back in 90’s and i think that it would be nice even today 4.33

why does everybody keep wining about the scenery? They weren’t good enough in 4.32 bladibladibla. They update to high res textures i 4.33, plus addition of trees & grass. Then they complain about the drop in FPS and some still keep yapping about the ‘crappy’ tiles.
Same for the weather. Not good enough in 4.32. They update the hell out of it in 4.33 an then they find some new $hit to complain about.Newsflash, it’s a combat simulator. I care 200 times more about avionics & cockpit accuracy then all the other eye candy outside. When I’m flying MP with the sqn or in a coop mission with others I care about the mission, the procedures, the execution and the team work. I’m not sight seeing the scenery, not counting leafs on the trees and not getting horny on the wing flex, improved vapours etc of my wingman a that time.
If you’ into that stuff, get FSX or DCS I’d say. -
And please let’s keep things into perspective: only a very small minority keep whining about these things. The others are just enjoying this awesome product.
