Cockpit textures for the Viper
-
do you really think an hires texture can impact on lower fps in falcon?
I ask cause my experience says the exact contrary
cheers
Well ā¦ I do not know. AFAIK, is it rather the number of textures which has an impact. But it worth to dig this.
Thank you for your head-up!

with my rig (almost 9 years old pc but modded in last few months) no fps impact with hires. It suffers on smokes.
I run from 35 to 60 fps everywhere, all theaters installed and availble for 33.1.
On amd settings everything is falcon app controlled with just shaders option set on. Bms config original with mdf high contrast on and hires texuter set on. Fan speed on amd in auto mode.
Tried to play with many other configs, no improves on performance or quality.cheers

AFAIK ā¦ (might be wrong as I am no a specialist.)
no fps impact with hires
HiRes do not impact on FPS but on memory. (impact 32b systems and / or ppl with not much video memory)
Numbers of textures impact FPS.

As far as I can tell the high res textures from this thread require no LODeditor, so they use the same textures as stock BMS, only in higher res. So no more and no less textures used when installing those. FPS should remain about status quo, no?

people should understand we are in 2016.
32 bit is history.
videocard with 2gb ram is history.
8gb ram is history.
mechanic hard drives are history.this āmodā is just a replace textures, no polys more or less.

Perspective Dema,
According to your judgement, Falcon , which is a 18 year old software - although updated (just like computers) should be history as well

of course,
apparently Falcon itās not old as some pc around the world yet, it has not rivals at the moment and honestly I donāt think neither in next 10 years.

32 bit is history. They will the day nobody of BMS users will be no longer under 32b systems.

yes sir.
I usually to test my fps with a personal campaign I edited in Korea theater. Simple tests, Kimpo airbase with 10 operative squadrons.

Interesting!! Thanks!
