BMS Devs, this above quick video of a gun run speaks volumes to the realism you have managed to attain in this simulator. The sound of the viper’s approach. Then a thin trail of dark smoke as the guns are briefly triggered. Then the rounds flying past and striking in a cacophony of crashing sound. Then the distance-delayed unique sound of the gun itself firing, then the contrails and passing sound of the jet itself as it flies by. All this in a realistic space/time process of events, including a fixed observer reference point that accurately reflects the 1,121ft/sec. speed of sound delay effects.
Kudos to you guys. How you manage to integrate all these different (and important) intangibles so effectively to create a sense of real life participation is just amazing to me.

Due to some our flight member’s personal life issues, we gave a long break unfortunately.
I hope your flight members are all fine and healthy.
Have you ever thought about a single (or 2-ship if possible) - display for VFAT ?
No doubt, from what we saw about your flying skills, you could do it.Cheers,

Had 80% of this sitting on the HD for a very long time so filled the gaps last night and published it. A few clips of AEF Hornets in the Balkans

Thanks mate! It took me a very long time to get that view, pity I didn’t have better pilot textures! I had to modify one of the top gun views manually in the .dat file for the aircraft by changing the camera position X,Y,Z values. It required a lot of trial and error to get the position correct. I am away from my PC at the moment but I can send you the values if you like. They will only work for the F-18 though. More info here:

Watch with English subtitlesDon’t take this as criticism, but you should set up a “high altitude” or radar-only threat CMDS program that does not dispense flares, otherwise you are just wasting flares and also highlighting yourself visually (I don’t think A-G units visual “eyeballs” actually use flares to “see you”) but you get the point. If you have to go low (or rather within MANPAD range) to defeat the threat and think that MANPADS are now a threat, then switch programs or pop the occasional flare.
