A new ranking and merit system for navy pilots would be nice

A good update would include HUD Only display with TrackIR and/or other head tracking devices. Happy New Year.

Would a “HUD only” view with TIR still be a HUD only view?
What should you see when panning TIR around a “HUD only” view? Say you pan at 3oclock? Say you pan right under you?
How would you imagine such a HUD only view panning in three dimensions? Would that be acceptable and realistic?Obviously, the answer to these three questions lead to Deejay suggestion: it is the answer to your wish.
HUD only by name means HUD only
It’s IMHO something completely obsolete (my personnal opinion) and if it was to be made TIR compliant, then it should be in a Forward sector only to always have the HUD in view. otherwise the definition isn’t valid anymore
That would restrict TIR use anyway, so we’re back to square one.…plus Falcas has an add-on out there called SetHUDOnly for BMS -
That’s not TIR compliant, it’s just meant to relocate the HUD better

Can?
Nuno Santos, who thank you for that post, made a wonderful Clouds Mod. Suggest you try there if you haven’t already.

[Hmm]… is it graphics?
Yes, it is. It’s coming FSX, P3D weather engine and weather texture addon.
You can have a look at the below web site and check what features it will bring in. -
Can?
Can? As in CAN it be made for BMS? Nope.
Great vid and excellent detail in regards to atmospheric and weather conditions. But there is no way that can be used for BMS. BMS is completely different from FSX or P3D. REX would have to make that work within the BMS engine. Think of several years for them to make something that could work with BMS. And REX has a large number of talented and full time working group. I know everyone would love to see this in BMS, but unless REX adapts or builds one, we will have to be happy with what we have. Besides, what we have isn’t so bad anyway. In fact, it has a lot going for it. In the future, there may be similar weather created for BMS with a higher GFX engine capable of reproducing those effects. Until then, I am happy with what we have:)

12:15 - AR door closing faster; than in current bms.
18:15 - Beautiful detail on how the wing vertexes are produced across wing under G increase

You can play with animRefuelRate and let us know of your findings

Vr…. and VR… oh VR would be cool also
-
An interface to change the IVC frequency from the 2d screen (and/or key callbacks) while connected to multiplayer (so you can select different freqs without going to local control)
-
My suggestion would have more to do with the dynamic campaign and the Virtual Pilot’s ability to control ground forces in terms of movement and where and when they might attack enemy forces. Put the pilot in more of a commander’s role and allow him/her to fly preemptive or follow-up missions in support of the “commander’s” strategy.

well, what you really want is an AIC/GCI screen, so thats really just custom avionics and a “cockpit” inside a room or aircraft filled with other "cockpit"s.

But still, and AFAIK, are drivers for a GC not as good as for Windows…
Every video I saw, with newly games running under a Linux distribution, they had a worse performance than running under Windows. And what about e.g. TARGET from Thrustmaster…?
Personally, I would “only” need the sim running under a Linux distribution, with a Warthog and had tracking…
And with (min) the same performance than under Windows.
Yes, that would be nice!Though any further development (tiles, 3d models) will need Windows…
Best regards
EarlybiteThank you. Without flaming, the performance of Windows is worst for me, as its wiped off my HDD. So, a bit of a framedrop in Linux is ok compared to no simming at all. A Linux port. That’s what I wish most.

That Radio Control enthusiast has no idea how lucky he is to get a Viper ride. Some of FliteTest’s videos are beyond stupid.
