Link 16 things you want in the next update
-
So my Link 16 things wishlist is following:
General system features:
-Possibility to set transmission power aswel as set receive only mode.
-Possibility to zero the keys (just like it is with IFF already) making system useless
-DTC initialization procedure
-Multiple channel selection for fighter to fighter aswel as mission control
-HMCS integration (for showing PDLT and so)Fighter to fighter related:
-SEAD datalink
-AMRAAM shoot lines (you will know at wich targets your buddies guide AMRAAMs at)
-Lock lines for wingmen AA tracks
-Secondary target transmission
-HTS triangulation
-Expanded data format for friendly aircraft
-All the basics like transmitting SPI, markpoints, friendly positions and soMission Control related (AWACS and so on):
-Expanded data format (to see things like type of threat), that would get rid of the radio clutter as it would be no longer needed to use declare!
-Mission Assignment for things like CAS and so on (AI AFAC would transmit those messages when you are CAS flight and you check in). WARNING! Knowing what is MA may make you banned on ED forum, so use that knowledge with care
-Mission Assignment for AA targets (AI AWACS would send them for CAP, SWEEP and interception flights).
-Friendly tracks (air defense, non air defense, naval and so)
-Enemy tracks (air, naval, air defense, non air defense ground targets)You got a lot of info on L16 there:
http://falcon.blu3wolf.com/Docs/MLU_M3.pdfGenerally speaking L16 would be my biggest wish for BMS at this time. Hope it will come at some point (i know it wonât be soon but i am rather petient men).
Seeing how well the BMS team integrated IFF, I am very confident they can integrate link 16 well, what with all the individual aircraft IDâs, theater wide elements, etc. However, real time dynamic mission assignments seem like a nightmare to code. Perhaps the AWACS cab be made to datalink you the closest Airthreats when asking for picture.

no rotating clouds, better surface texture, high res cockpit, correct external sounds, the sounds always have been having strange bugs, and yes a pilot with a head so that he knows what to do next
-
The sounds where increased very well

@Master:
Seeing how well the BMS team integrated IFF,
I was expecting IFF to be a thing someday in BMS, but they way they implemented it was somehow unexpected for me. I mean the way AI uses IFF, it is probably the best IFF implementation in civilian SIM at this moment.
They have put a lot of work in it for sure, anyway they also reworked some things related with weapons (AGM-84A, AIM-9, not sure what else). Also IDM received some updates (now IDM is tied to the radio channel). Hope that someday we will see L16, if they nailed IFF that way the L16 seems to be perfectly possible for BMS team. -
If IFF seems to be complex to use ⌠L16 will be a nightmare.
-
What if IFF seems easy to use?
Remember that there are still people who do not have problems with things like MAV boresighting, handoffs and limitations, IFF use, use of any other weapons (including men in the loop, HARM, OSA (wasp) swatter, JDAM, JSOW and so on)âŚ
Well, i donât think that there is any technical thing that can be too complex for me⌠âŚThe problem is still AAR in turn but that is kinda manual thingâŚ

I havenât tried it yet, but kudos to the BMS team for getting it right in the area of bogey exploitation of the signal. Iâd like to see this sort of thing brought to surface threats too - more reactive sorts of behavior.
L16 will be difficult only if one doesnât studyâŚ

a new PC this 15 year old one getting a bit slow

I would like to see the ability to randomize the starting points for all Sams within a threshold so that the exact GPS cooridinates will not be known ahead of time making Recon a more neccessary activity before one begins SEAD ops âŚ
As it stands after playing a campaign once I can make note of all the SAM threat points and next time no need for recon if I want to play the same campaign again. As well for advanced enemyâs such as Russia give them shoot and scoot capabilities so that once they have gone active and blown their position they will attempt to
reposition themselves in the theatre coordinating with other SAMS in the area.4.34 already makes SEAD more challenging and fun next level would be something like this.
-
Before they tackle Link-16 I hope they can focus on making the enemy harder to kill and maybe do a slightly more realistic EW suite?
Also I would like to have some tools in a campaign to keep reconed static targets permanently marked or âreconedâ . There are no tools to mark something like a SAM site and once the recon time expires and disappears however it would be helpful to have a last known position type marker not for flights but for something for people running campaigns.

This could be a neat feature to add to WDPâŚa ârecce knee-cardâ where you could add and save targets noted during missions. Would have to have both add in/from game, delete/edit in WDP.

Would like ability to stretch the campaign GUI on the mission map/ planner screen across multiple monitors. This would allow for a larger desktop working space. Right now, on a three monitor setup the two side monitors are blank and Falcon only allow for use of the center display. Would be quite useful to be able to open up and position the data cartridge, map, comms and other windows across the available workspace.
-
Some UCAVs would be good for blue and red sides for more modern scenarios. New Su-27, Su-30, Su-35, Su-25, Su-34, A-50 models, like in 4.33 Baltic and Aegean theaters.

Radium is working on gorgeous new Su-27, Su-30 etc⌠models currently and they are looking very close to completion.
given the amount of aircraft he has already updated and improved on that are included in 4.34, i am very confident the new Sukhoiâs will be in a future 4.34 update (possibly the next one)The release information is 100% unconfirmed though!

Iâve not had any luck using Windows 10âs DPI scaling, however something you could try would be to use OBStudio to capture the BMS window. Youâd need to run BMS as the focus window (could set the UI to be bottom right position, out of the way) but you could watch the enlarged image in OBS on a larger screen.
Either way, youâre still going to be interacting with a 1024x768 window, be it really small or scaled up and therefor âblurryâ, for lack of a better descrption.

I hope someday ALQ-184âs C-9492 CONTROL would be simulated. If so,that would be a revolution!
I am interested in ECM operation.

I just want the cockpit to be a little more polished.
In itâs current state (at least on my PC) everything
can only be read if your virtual nose is 2 inches away
from your POV any natural lean rearward causes button
Labels,MFD,DED,and instruments to go âminecraftâ in #2font size.I have tried just about everything and it seems from youtube vids etc lots of decent looking vanilla pits. I could never get mine to look right.
-
Perhaps try enabling antialiasing? You could also disable the z axis on your tracker. Its not really possible to lean further back in the F-16 seat normally!

The reality is that 4.33 pit is sharper/darker more readable i will post a comparison screenshot âŚ.

I have no real wishes for the next version though it would be nice if we can get some more of Radium and Manos1981âs gorgeous 3D models in the game - such as the awesome new Huey variants from Radium and Manosâ beautiful A-7 and F-4 models (short nose, long nose, etc.)
