YAME64 suite

The demise of YAME is exaggerated.
Hope to be able to report progress in 3-4 weeks -
Happy to learn that Yame is always followed, I use it but it must be recognized that the use with 4.34 is not very simple.
And without the CP60 100% functional it loses its interest.
And in advance thank you to the programmer at Yame for the work he provides. -
Hi, in 4.34 the CPD dont show the waypoints and the flightpath in the moving map. How to setup the CPD in Yame for 4.34? It works in 4.33âŚ
Thx

Has anyone had instances of extremely high memory usage with YAME/4.34? Iâm currently getting 3-5 mins in the pit with YAME64/Helios running before my system memory (16GB) is fully used and performance is sub 20fps. YAME peaks at 2.5GB+ usage but generally settles around 600-800mb for me, whereas a friend using the same YAMME/Helios setup has usage around 90mb. BMS memory usage increases to 2-3 times normal usage while YAME is running. Any ideas?

Are you using the Direct3D Hook or RTT shared memory ?
If the latter, try setting everything up for the D3D Hook -

Yep, just using RTT at the moment. I just donât understand the increase in memory usage, especially when my friend only has a combined 900mb-1gb between YAME and BMS.
-
More testing carried out this morning - tried YAME as admin, YAME in Win8 compatibility mode, and reinstalling⌠all with no effect.
Memory usage at 2D with YAME client running is ~800MB BMS & ~90MB YAME, 55% overall utilisation. As soon as I enter the pit, BMS climbs to around ~1.5GB and YAME spikes as high as 3.3GB, ultimately settling at ~1.5GB. Overall utilisation is pegged at 98%. Returning to 2D returns BMS & YAME to their previous levels (ish) but usage remains pegged at 98% until I kill YAME entirely.
Any ideas at all?

Hi to everyone,
I have a strange problem with Yame. I try to use it on a network (which work perfectly with MFDExtractor) but when I try to configure YAME64, in the server tab the IP adresss is 0.0.0.0 and I donât know how to change it to my real IP adress 192.168.1.110, any ideas??? -
Presumably you have selected âget data from networkâ under the <client>< extraction> tab? and then entered the server IP?</client>

Hope to be able to report progress in 3-4 weeksCanât wait, have been loving it since finding out about it on my two Lilliput 8" touchscreens! I now have the right one in portrait mode with your fictional Blk 60 center pedestal with moving map, great stuff! Let me know if you need beta testers!

YAME64 LAYOUT XML FILE ISSUE:
When I launch YAME64 and start YAME client to load any YAME layout xml file, and then afterwards stop the YAME client, I have noticed that the âDate Modifiedâ timestamp for that YAME layout xml file located in the YAME\layouts folder has automatically been updated with a new/current âDate Modifiedâ timestamp.
Is this timestamp update supposed to occur each time when starting/stopping YAME client?
I donât recall this happening before, and not sure if this is related to YAME64 suite v1.2.1 or Windows 10 Home Edition version 1909 OS build 18363.1082 which I am using. This has caused a bit of confusion with maintaining backup copy of xml layout files.
I have used WinMerge program to compare copy of original/updated layout xml files, but there are no actual xml edits being made except for the updated timestamp.
Any clarification would be appreciated.

Just checked all my YAME64 1.2.1 .xml files in the âLayoutsâ folder and none are dated currently, the newest one is several months old, I believe when I made some edits to it⌠Win10 Pro ver. 19041.508, used Yame yesterday.

I did a clean reinstall of YAME v121 and Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable 2015 but that didnt fix my issue,
in mean time I have a workaround by modifying the xml layout file properties to enable read-only attribute which will prevent any unintended update. -

I recently upgraded my pit with 4 new displays. I used YAME client as I was running 3 displays on a singel PC. But with the 4 new upgrades I need to go via Network.
If I undertand correctly its possilbe to run the server and the (first) client (for the 3 displays) on the main PC (where BMS is installed with option âAlso run serverâ) and a second client on a second PC.
But I have the same problem with the 0.0.0.0 IP adress.
Is there a work around for this problem?
Thanks in advance for any ideas and help.

Do you have this problem on the server side or on the client?
On the server: YAME64 automatically puts your IP into the field in the âServerâ tab. You canât change this one.
On the client YAME does not even show a server tab. There is just the tab âClientâ and if you choose âGet data from networkâ then you should be able to enter the servers IP into the âServer IPâ field.
At least that is how it works on my side.
I use YAME64 on the BMS host and YAME32 on a linux networked subnotebooks, but that should not really be relevant.
