Link 16 things you want in the next update

I would like to see two things implemented (and they are somewhat related).
Firstly, I would like to see parachutes. Like - in a fraught situation, one can just manually pop the canopy open and jump out with a parachute.
Yes - I KNOW the ACES II ejection seat IS simulated, but - these seats are SO dangerous and cause many spinal injuries.Simply parachuting from the aircraft carries none of the associated G-related risks.
On a tangential note - perhaps spinal fractures and broken collarbones could also be implemented…?
It may not be high on the list of development priorities, but - Falcon has always been about Hi-Fidelity.Obviously, one does not expect these things to be introduced to the sim overnight…!! Though - I think that Update 1 could be a realistic possibility.

(P.S. Tangential…? Sounds like tan genital. Hee hee…)

Realistically how often a pilot just jumps out of a jet ?

Hopefully not. U1 is hopefully to be fixing already know issues that affect gameplay. So Highest prio should be fixing issues causing CTD, 2nd prio to changes that might not cause crashes but affect gameplay.
IMHO Anything nice-to-have should always considered to be in a future version but not thrown into an Update that is already been worked on -

…as someone that has actually spent some time jumping out of airplanes, I’d REALLY like to see him try that at 400 knots.

I don’t think someone would be able to clear the fuselage doing that.

It might be worth trying if you could stand it on its tail and jump out <100 knots.

…actually, I had an Eagle driver once tell me that a way out of the jet if the seat didn’t fire was to unstrap, grab the chute container by the pitots, and push it up into the air stream once the canopy was gone…that will cause the chute will open and drag you out. Of course, that’s a LAST option…
Jumping out of a DC-3 there is about 130 knots of wind behind the props…you can surf that, once you learn how. But it will spin you around goodly on the way to learning…don’t ask how I know…

Perhaps mav-jp could start work on HFFC? High Fidelity Fractured Colorbones.

I mean, in a fraught situation as you put it, the spinal injury is pretty irrelevant if you live. The seat is designed to get you away from the aircraft.
Ejection isnt considered safe. Its just considered safer than the alternatives. Jumping out might not carry the risk of injury from the seat, but it also reduces survival chances drastically.
Plus, the seat isnt that dangerous if you are of a proper weight for the seat.

…I can pretty much guarantee you that if you stick your head above the windscreen at 400 kts you are likely to get your head ripped off…because as a human being you simply can’t move fast enough to overcome the buffet you will encounter. And this only gets worse the faster you are.
So I’m PERFECTLY fine with no bailouts.

This gives me an idea
For the homepit builders here, put an airbag under your seat, make it a real hotseat and see if it affects your tactical decisions in the sim.
It might even work when pulled:rofl::rofl::rofl: -

It might even work when pulled:rofl::rofl::rofl:…that’s certainly my plan. Air bladder in both the seat pan and the seat back - I’ve flown a Harrier Trainer that was set up this way. It doesn’t affect tactics, but it does affect how you handle the airplane. I plan for seat shakers as well.

Chill out guys, it’s just 'gorny being 'gorny, that’s why we love 'm in very non-gay way.

Introduce System Altitude error and ACAL

Its been done. At over 600 knots. Captain Brian Udell.

When I switch from summer season to winter, in this case KTO
And continue on a already running campaign, the meteo in the briefings stay in summer values.
Like 24deg Celcius, do I have to start a new campaign in winter mode and then expect low temps?just wondering

season is only a texture switch
For proper weather, you need to set it up directly.
