Just because you said you are frustrated
-
@Mav-jp: This is where I’m getting really confused: in Setup, it shows that the ball travels to the border of the window in all axis’…
-
@LorikEolmin Could it be something simple as gross weight being off at some crazy level for the G. In that test mission, what does the loadout screen say?
-
@jayb Gross weight 45801. Not red.

@TOPOLO What kind of fix are you talking about? ACDATA file modification?.. elsewhere?

@Xeno: Tried on default AND Easy, switched to Easy to try it at much higher than rotate speed. Cannot get the a/c to lift-off under any circumstances… I thinks it’s some kind of weight issue: if I take out about 20% of the internal fuel it’ll pitch-up abruptly around 285kts. This was with 3x AIM-7, 4x AIM-9, ALQ-119 and 2x Wing-Tanks. With 3x Tanks, it will not lift off at all until I end the mission at which key-press it suddenly takes-off at a steep but effortless pitch-up.
Same here, reducing fuel amount allows taking-off.

@LorikEolmin - may also want to check your stores loadout. Balance stores vs fuel…and check how stores affects CG. I did notice a comment in the Phantom Dash 1 about the effect of loadout on takeoff performance.

Reply in my video title.

Now I don’t know what the f*ck to do: when I plug-in my old X52, the plane lifts-off, fine. But in the setup screen, both stick show the same degree of travel and no discernable difference in response-time (input-lag).
-
@parislord - take a look at them in the default Windows Calibrator, and see if that matches up to what Setup is telling you.
If not, you may be able to trick the Windows Calibration into providing something Setup can use - I’ve done this myself.
-
@Stevie: the only thing I can find under windows calibrator is for my monitor. What app are you referring-to?
-
@Stevie: Okay, if you’re referring to joy.cpl: found it, no-joy…
-
@parislord - there is a Game Controller Calibration wizard buried in the Control Panels. This is an explanation of it -
…but I don’t seem to recall having had to jump through all these hoops to get to it. I think if you just look for your controller under Devices you’ll find a way to calibrate it and check (assign?) buttons under/within Windows.
You may simply need to go to Devices, right-click your controller, and select Properties…that’s more what I seem to recall doing, now that I think.

So it does seem related to gross weight vs thrust, ie. a flight model issue ?

Not sure. I have a perfect vanilla 37.0 (I just enable throttle and stick on it and import the TE), which works. But I didn’t mod KTO, so there is something in a “stupid” parameter that has an effect. I can’t find what. It’s not an easy mode or acdata, obviously.

There is no concept of balance or GC is OFM

@LorikEolmin Do you mean 37.2 or did you test in 37.0 ?

I mean exactly what’s written.

Can you provide me a TE repro case in 4.37.2 vanilla KTO ?
