I think your solution is quite well. For me it would be rather disturbing if you could see the nose during normal flight. But the option to have it when needed is quite sexy. Even if that means you have to perform some unusual contortions. Good job -
No I didn’t move head central position because that seems to screw things up, if you do that then you need to move ejector racks etc as well, right clart on……so I just block select front parts of lod and did a slight 5 degree rotate on the Y-axis to move nose into view, I’ve looked all around the pit using Track IR, leaned right out the sides any everything and I can’t see any graphic anomalies, if I find one I’ll scrap it…but looks good to me so far.

m2 because i now use the old skwabie lod models but they are not as nice as the default nose

Well if your adjusting blk 50 (1196) then try selecting very bottom subtree (302 I think its called), this will select more than nose but its easier and I can’t notice any graphical glitch doing this either, but try it and see how you go?, so block select that (subtree 302), from tools select ‘model-rotate’, in the pop up window change Y 0.00 to Y -5.00 and check the ‘selected’ circle thing before pressing the rotate button, then save lod……then go fly block 50 and see if you notice any errors?.

Hi Demo/RPG,
Apparently a few local falconites here want this mod pretty bad and have been pestering me about it for months. I tried talking them thru the LE process but gotta admit it ain’t an easy task for an average joe to really go indepth with this tool. Unfortunately I do not have the time to do such LE modding atm plus no point in doing the same thing twice. Can I hereby say a prayer for them that you share the mod with the rest of us?:eek:

Hello everyone. I started working on this myself tonight and have it working well on my system. I thought I would help others out and upload what I’ve accomplished as well as how I went about it. The archive in the link includes the original files released by Skwabie as well as backup files from the database that are named _original. I then included my modified files and instructions with screen caps on how to do it yourself. My settings are based on a triple screen setup with 120 degree FOV so they may not work for you. The instructions though, will show you how to use LOD Editor and make your own adjustments to Skwabie’s orginal files. Thanks for this MOD, this was an awesome addition!

today i managed to install the Block 50 Model plus wings but i have a problem with some textures on the nose.
You can see it on that picture below :
Is there any way to solve this problem ?

You need to install the textures that came with the Block 50 model. That texture problem occurs when you installed the new model but have the old textures.

Wrong… That is still the standard F-16 model, he did not install the model or he should use the StopGap skins.

Oh whoops, I didn’t notice the pilot model. Installing the LVN models without the new skins results in a similar effect, though.

I installed wings model of Blk 52 and got the nose shaped like the one of Skwabie’s (see #1). The nose is rough and angular and the colour is also not proper (see my scrrenshot below).
I believe the nose shapes got by Demo (#25) and RPG (#57) are correct. So, anyone know the reason? -
If you know anything about LOD editor you can make it more detailed. I think if you look through this thread they will tell you how to do it. If you need help let me know.
