But - assumed you are always in good faith in all your speech - even I can clearly see that you’re ignoring here all the advises given to you by several members, well known as true experts by the proof of time spent, and real results and improvements given to all this Community members, most of all.
Worse, you didn’t either get that we all are here positively NOT TO COMPETE with any other simulation or person, in this Community or elsewhere.
We don’t care it at all, indeed.
We are here instead just because we are all friends loving simulated military flying. And we chose Falcon BMS to do that. Dot.So, what about less chatting and more acting? If you really can show it, of course.
You seemed to be good at doing when you released that AIM-9 skin, mod or whatever it is.
Keep on going that way, then, or please leave us alone.
There are already too many polemists around, we certainly don’t feel the need to get more. -

As far as I know you don’t have permissions to modify the original work, so why publicly advertise it here “For Falcon 4 BMS” ???
You can only do it for yourself and pleasure, and keep it on your personal hard disk drive, and of course you can post pictures of this as your personal “mod”, BUT, getting out of this pattern, bad things will happen, quickly…
Also again, my POV, playing with colors and advertising it as a better product just a couple weeks after its release is somewhat unfair comparing with the hundreds of hours invested in the development of this package and the material used, material and data that you don’t have access to in order to claim something “seriously improved”…

So how do you solve that?
you build 2 terrains.As far as I understand from your past posts, you are not reinventing the wheel here, not claiming a new invention / solution;
Such 3D terrain / mountains approach has been tested (or partially published / or under further development for future releases) to Ikaros theater (parts of; Araxos, Souda, Tanagra, Akropolis, Karavia firing range) and EMF WIP versions, so nothing really impressing here on your posts; It just an implementation option versus human resources / hours to put on this; Does it worth to advertise it as a new solution, on a DX9 engine currently?

So how do you solve that?
Use 2 terrains . 2D and 3D at the same time. when you build them on 3dmax - you build 2 terrains.
The 3D Terrain can be more than 25K polys - and the 2D is about 100…
When you get them into Falcon by LOD EDITOR - You get the 3D to be appearing only from let’s say 35 miles, but anytime you further away from 35 Miles, it will use the 2D Terrain (It’s already beyond your visual range so you can’t see it).So You can go with High Polys - and maintain FPS higher than 50-60
25K polys??? WTF are you talking about?? You think a 3D terrain is a MIG-21 model?? ROFLMAO

I will say it Clear - after reading all the comments with all the issues they suggested :
We have capabilities that no one else has. we can compete with military simulators. way ahead of Falcon 4 bms and DCS.But when I go back from an hour flight in the air, Sufa Blcok III… I go back to Ramon Base and say “WOW”…
that WOW can’t be explained in words… and its a hard work pays off. and I know we did something amazing on a global scale.Where is the download link to share it with the community giving the ability to make our own mind , and/or complete video footage showing all what you are describing ? … its a mystery …

Wolffox i have done such in the past.
I also passed the how to to others.
In ikaros theater there are some land areas.
Also some others that where left out.Few are:
Mountain AthosSkolka which is about 12x6 klms
and a whole island which is 17x15 klms on a 4096^2 texture. I couldn’t go 8192^2 cause I didn’t had enough ram on my system and the 4k was already an overkill back then and it was kinda of a restriction from the app. I could split it and have 4x4k the whole area and then stitch it but no ram on the pc to process it.
This is a second try done in one hour with my new stronger pc iirc.
.Just with one texture as for ease and to showcase.
But with skolka and santorini i saw that load times where increased significantly, so going even larger areas i thought it would be a killer. Now lowering the 3d polys like 25 as u say well doesn’t have a meaning as is just for the textures. I was experimenting on level of detail on those some just bellow the threshold of LE but the fps impact just in instant action was significant so for a campaign would be a killer.
Now as you said you mixed the res of the 3d objects (i mean 3d model accuracy and height detail) then in campaigns it would hide the moving and static objects, troops vehicles etc so it’s a no go for the falcon engine and realism.
Now guys asking him for downloads and the way he reacts on it and when he first came it might be a project for military purposes so he can’t, thus explaining and his mystery photo terrain resources he refers to.
Maybe it was just to familiarize with terrain and how it looks actually for the users of it.

It is not a project for military purposes,he is not in a team,he can’t show what he is asked to ,he just trying and make experiments which is good thing, that’s all. If he had a revolutionary simulator well he might not wanting to share it most probable but at least could show something besides google map
in bms and I am sure he would have been invited in the team I mean they would recognized him an achievement that could help both sides -

Also some others that where left out.I see nothing revolutionary here (something studied for long time to have burried shelter in mountains in North Korea, not used yet).
I see Zbias issues, and I don’t see any ground units moving or ground combat nor GBU weapons hitting targets … (!?) Is about this we are talking so much about here!? -
The zfighting u see is actually the 3d object that is sink in the falcon terrain.
Also switching view (rotating moving) its like the 3d object moves, kinda like the clouds? So the actual area that the 3d object intersects with the falcon terrain changes and at those areas textures look ugly.
If i had erased the falcon terrain tiles or replace them with empty ones you shouldnt see such issues? Dont know, it was just for experimenting on larger areas and i didn’t go further.Here is more obvious i believe , at the begining of video where 3d object intersects with the falcon terrain.
For troops and etc yeap troops would be under the 3d object in most of those areas and they would be invisible to the eye and the radar.

Anyway … while acceptable for small parts (hill top objectives) it is unacceptable for making an entire terrain.
