White means texture is missing. Not all skins are in the folder LE is looking for it’s textures. Also try this keys: hit caps-lock, then y, then you can turn caps-lock off again. Another thing you can change is open a model menu in the 3D viewer by hitting space-bar. A new menu will open. Open the display menu and change the texture set to 5 and cycle “Use set” from 0 till 4.
If you have the 20 textures in the correct folder there is no issue.Thank you so much Jan. It worked out as you described it. Now everything is alright.:D

Sweeeeet……can’t wait for the Block 40z. Are you going to put the birdslicers on the Block 40?
No, I have done some research and I have not seen any block 40 in the PACAF/USAF/USAFE/ANG with the AIFF. So for now I will build them without them. The block 40 will get the HTS.

Ok cool

This picture it’s been taken last april, 13. No AIFF

Going from the HUD (doesn’t necessarily mean it’s 40/42) and they’re USAF based in Korea, doesn’t look like the 40/42s have the AIFF fins as you say.
-
Did my research and looked at some recent pics (May) from the Jets in Aviano and no IFF slicers.
-
AFAIK Block 40s aren’t slated for AIFF integration until Q4 this year. My bet is that it’ll get pushed farther out. Furthermore, I don’t think all 40s are getting them. IIRC current block 40/42 aircraft have APX-124 (no antennas) and a selection of those jets are getting upgraded to APX-126 (with antennas).

It is fine either way. I know Block 40s dont have them and some Block 42s have them.

Many thanks for the link, Cougar. I’ve never seen the site; there are pictures to browse for hours there…

Hey Jan,
I know you just released the Block 50 but do you have an release ETIC for the Block 40? 5 skins on it? 36th, 35th, 80th, 555th, and 510th?

ETA for the block 40: a few days. I just finished upgrading the PX3/4’s for the next Ikaros update. I’m now optimizing the model so I can keep the 3d stuff in front of the hud and still have poly room to add the block 42 model HUD parts. Only 218 poly’s to find… easy.

Ok thanks……can you add the ALE-50 Towed Decoy to the Block 40 as well, like you did on the block 50? The Block 42 and Block 52 need them too

All the blocks you mentioned already have them…

Yeah I just realized that. My bad. Thanks for all you do.

The Guard F-16s are on a slightly different upgrade track, mostly due to financing or lack there of. For instance, a number of Guard Block 30/32 Vipers did receive the AN/APX-113 as part of CUPID, but not all did. So some 30/32s will have slicers while others may not. Though there are so few Guard F-16 units left (compared to 12-15 years ago), the only surviving Block 30/32s may now all have them.
I certainly cannot recall seeing any active duty Block 40/42s with slicers (yet).

Cougar56th mentioned that there was an issue with the 55th tail SW letters on the right side. I have corrected it and you can download the new tail via this link. Thanks Cougar for bringing this to my attention.

Hello Jan.
Your F-16 is a really great aircraft. I have a little suggestion to make the your aircraft even more beautiful.: I showed you in the image below. The missiles and pylons on the wing tips of real F-16s do not stand parallel to ground. They are leaning forward. If you could reflect this on your models, the plane would be more beautiful and perfect. Of course the final decision is yours.
Thank you again millions for this perfect aircraft.
With my best regards.

Interesting idea. This effect is of course created by gravity (front of the missile way in front of the rotating center). I’ll check the empty LAU position with a loaded one, and also check how the real thing behaves in flight). Maybe I can come up with some sort of compromise if it’s realistic.

Even with the rail empty it is pointing down, it’s how the wing is shaped.

I really don’t think so … IMO it is because the positive wing’s AOA (chord line).
