OK the manual did mention adding -window and others but I can get it into a window anyway; the problem is to get it full screen. My video drivers are up to date ans as for re installing OS, I would rather avoid that as in spite of looking for days to find the OS dosc last used 4 years ago, I can’t find it. Could upgrade to win 10 but effects other progs too much at the moment. So I am looking for another solution if possible! 🙂
I think the advice was to re-install video drivers, not update. If all was working fine, then often updating video drivers is not a great idea anyway. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it as they say. I had a message from AMD last week telling me that new drivers were available. Against my better instinct I downloaded and tried to install them. I have an R9 380 and HD5450 in same PC and AMD installer then decides to tell me that the drivers are not suitable for 5450 and aborted the install. Not cleanly it seems as I then had all sorts of problems which i could only try fix with system restore. Result: 4.33 U1 which was running well now had CTD on every start so I needed to reinstall it. Moral of story is - it was not broke until I tried to ‘fix it’.
My point however is that your 4.33 was working and then not so something obviously changed. Could have been a Windows update (or perhaps failed update) that broke yours. My advice therefore:
