I use a 50" LED TV with 1080P. I have a GTX 980. I found using an older driver worked much better than the newer ones. Also, play with the 3-D settings in the NVidia Control Panel. You just have to find what works best for you. If you are using Multisampling, anything over 1 is just a waste of frame rates, unless you are using a much higher resolution. You may not be able to get all the shimmering out of the MFD’s. But when you zoom in on them, it should get better. And with the correct settings, you can get it down to a bare minimum. My picture looks great. I run between 65 and 85 FPS in the air, and I also run with a full sim-pit.
Also, someone correct me if I am wrong, if you are using TrackIR, I believe it causes some of the shimmering because it is not a 100% stable image. If you are not using a head tracker, disregard 🙂
