Balkans 4.33 Update 3.6

Same mind here, Snowman.
And thanks a lot for asking in clear!
With best regards,
For that, I’d say it’s because the models used aren’t recognized as native.

I think you signed a good point here, dear Lorik.
Same mind here. So, let’s wait for the devs’ answer, I guess…
Oh, and this told just for the records: the last time, I installed the 3.5 alternate update and after that the 3.5 hi-res textures. All went out fine and it was worth of it, most of all - because I had care to tune out my nVidia card’s settings pretty fine before, perhaps? With best regards,

thanks for the update!
Can you explain why an installation of Balkans has any effect on ACDATA?
Or why the check should be unchecked?Because Balkans has Janhas models in it and those have altered acdata files.
I’m still a bit confused about the version. Is there any sense in installing alternate + HiRes? Although I have a high-end rig, the models still decrease the FPS enough on the ground to make rampstart tedious, that’s why I’m asking.
Alternate is for the version without Janhas models (and that would also make the above acdata remark obsolete, unless you fly MP with guys having installed the version with Janhas plus guys with the alternate version).
Don’t know what textures are all in the high res folder but some are perhaps Janhas models specific, so that could get faulty textures on airplanes perhaps.
If the high res textures are only for buildings, scenery etc; you can perfectly install the alternate version plus high res tiles. -

For truth’s sake, I too thought the same as you did… but until this version released only.
So, what is that ‘warning’ for (“Please make sure you have the Same ACDATA Files Required UNCHECKED in the config editor while using the 3.6 or 3.6 alternate update.”, I mean) at the far bottom of Cougar’s post? There wasn’t any of the same kind before.
And that has been which made me dubious now, and thus asking for a confirmation, in case. With best regards,

Good point, never caught my eye. But in theory he’s correct.
If everyone uses the same version, there’s no issue. But when someone has regular and another the alternate and want to fly together, the check must be disabled. So it’s valid for both type of downloads in certain cases -

You’re right, Focaldesign. And I agree.
But my question remains still, I think, and is about a possible modification of the original ‘ACDATA’ folder by overwriting its content even in a few part - told it in short.
Thanks for your attention and have a nice day. With best regards,

The hi res textures are only for the update that is the main update….not the alternate

Thank you Cougar, straight to the point =). And great job to the team, as always.

I thought i read somewhere this was going tot be fixed. What is unclear tot me is do the mods pertain tot bms stock install or just the balkans models? To be exact: am i modding existing standard flight models with this installation?Greets Snowman
PS happy with the warning so everybody has a choice. I would just like to be clear on what i am choosing

haha yeah. Just have to take that Sierra Loop

It is a very strange situation: in my installation it is all OK now, with the 3.6 update.
Centerline, left and right side of the taxiway are stable. -

Centerline, left and right side of the taxiway are stable.Yep, weird. Just flew a couple sorties out of Aviano and the last one went over that area 3 times with no issues.

Hey Ghostdog,
Check your PM….
Can you send me your texture.bin file from your install?

Cougar, correct me if I’m wrong or missing something, but why whole theater 1.5GB+ update just for 3 files 1MB+?
Maybe some error in 3.6ALT update , even tdf file is not updated?
